What if your next professional chapter started with us?\nShifts Available:\nNight Shift - Sunday to Thursday - 10pm to 6am - Shift Premium $3/hour\n Weekend Night Shift - Friday (10pm-6am), Saturday Sunday (6pm-6am) and Monday (10pm-6am) - Shift Premium $5/hour\nFUNCTION SUMMARY:\nThe Set-up Operator I is accountable to the Production Supervisor for all activities relating to the set-up of all inspection, labeling and packaging (ILP) equipment, trouble-shooting, mechanical adjustments, and preventative maintenance, in order to meet the company’s objectives. These activities will be performed in accordance with the requirements outlined in Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSets up and disassembles all inspection, labeling and packaging machines\nTrains new ILP operators on inspection machine, labeling machine and packaging line operation\nPerforms basic trouble shooting, mechanical adjustments\ninterventions and preventative maintenance on the ILP machines\nReports any equipment problems and process related downtime to the area Lead Hand, Maintenance Technician, and Supervisor and work together to solve them\nEnsures that the ILP areas run smoothly by informing the area Lead Hand and/or Supervisor when supplies are needed\nMakes suggestions for improving training programs and ILP area processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives\nIn the absence of the Lead Hand, performs back-up duties and responsibilities as assigned\nMonitors and reviews system entries, ensure that scanned data is accurate\nCreates maintenance work orders and requests using the CARL system\nReviews batch record entries and assist with audit corrections\nEnsures all GMPs, SOPs, and company policies are followed\nAssists with Q-Note and DIR Investigations as required\nTakes on the role of the Operator as needed\nFollows GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensures quality standards are met\nObserves and supports all safety guidelines and regulations\nDemonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices\nPerforms other related duties as required\nBASIC REQUIREMENTS:\nEducation\nHigh school diploma\nExperience\nA minimum of one year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment, however 2 years or more of work experience is considered an asset\nPharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry experience is considered an asset\nDemonstrated mechanical experience or mechanical aptitude\nThe ability to work any shift in a 24/7 environment\nWork Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based for the duration of employment.
