These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.\nJob Description\nAdjuster Mechanic\nBrownsville, TX\nCompensation Includes\nStarting pay rate of $18-22/hour\nAvailable Shift\n3rd\nOverview Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Adjuster is responsible for adjusting Merchandise, Grocery or Sack paper bag machines. They are also responsible for the safety, product quality and meeting/exceeding production targets in their assigned area.\nEssential Job Duties & Responsibilities\nContinuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures\nEnsure all guards are in place and functioning properly\nEnforce all safety rules including but not limited to safe work procedures such as lockout/tag out\nEnforce PPE requirements\nIdentify safety training needs provide feedback to Safety Manager, Supervisor, or training coordinator\nCheck bags for quality defects off the machine, do all quality checks and paper-work as per Quality Policy\nEnsure requires quality checks are being performed by the BMO\nPerform quality checks ate each roll change\nIdentify quality training needs and provide feedback to quality manager, supervisor, or training coordinator \nFollow all quality policies and procedures. Must comply with all good manufacturing practices\nMust comply with all safety practices and guidelines including PPE requirements\nMake machine set ups and order changeovers\nAdjust and repair machines as needed in order to increase production, reduce downtime, eliminate quality issues and improve machine durability\nMonitor employee breaks and schedule relief as needed\nIdentify training needs and schedule training session with shift Supervisor/training coordinator\nMonitor machine run speeds and adjust to run at budgeted speeds or better\nCommunicate any issues or pending work at shift change with the incoming adjusters\nReport machine issues and plan repair work accordingly\nMaintain daily housekeeping standards\nEnforce all safety procedures and GMP polices \nSubmit accurate production reports daily and timely\nMeet/achieve safety, quality, production waste and housekeeping goals set forth by management\nPrincipal Accountabilities\nFollows all Company rules and guidelines\nAvoid unsafe practices or carelessness. Follow all safety rule specific to each machine and/or department\nCooperate with fellow employees\nBe always waste conscious of efforts and materials\nAttempts to achieve quality product\nGood attendance is a condition of employment\nQualifications\nPrefer to have a High School Diploma or GED\nMinimum 3 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment\nCapable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers\nMust be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions\nMust be a team player with a “can do” attitude\nShould possess basic mechanical skills\nMust be capable of standing for long periods of time\nAbility to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs\nMust have basic troubleshooting abilities\nRegularly required to stand, sit, move about facility, climb stairs, bend, twist, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools and controls, grasp, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, lift above shoulder level.
