These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.\nJob Description\nCup Machine Operator\nSt. Charles\nCompensation Includes\nPay Range $24.64/hr - $32.17/hr plus $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift\nAvailable Shift\n2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday thru Friday\nOverview\nThe Cup Operator position is responsible for consistently operating a zone of cup machines at or above standard levels of operation considering waste, efficiency and utilization. Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine. Provide innovative solutions for production problems.\nResponsibilities\nTroubleshoot causes of machine malfunctions\nMake appropriate adjustments and repairs to ensure that the cups being produced meet specifications\nEnsure the machines operate properly and according to standard line conditions\nPerforms routine maintenance to include replacement of worn parts prior to machine failure\nMake cup machine adjustments and repairs to improve production, increase safety and reduce costs, waste and downtime\nPerforms minor changeovers\nDemonstrates knowledge and proficiency in cup formation process\nCommunicates with the operators from the previous and following shifts to review any problems experienced on the machines throughout the department\nUnderstand and effectively complete the necessary procedures for performing start-up and shutdown of machinery\nCommunicate effectively with other department personnel to maintain quality standards and production requirements\nAssist Operators in troubleshooting problems on their machines\nComplete required quality checks and daily paperwork and Hour by Hour sheets\nEnters daily production data and downtime on PC\nMaintains a clean and orderly work area\nBecome scissor lift certified\nQualifications\n2 years related experience\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree \nDemonstrated problem solving skills\nPhysical Requirements & Environmental Conditions\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk\nUses hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls\nThe employee frequently is required to talk and hear to communicate with crew members\nRequired to climb, stoop, bend and reach with hands and arms\nThe employee is occasionally required to push or pull with hands or arms, kneel or crouch\nThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to distinguish shades and colors\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision\nPositive work attitude and willingness to cooperate\nAbility to work in a team environment\nThe noise level in the work environment is consistently above 85 decibels\nAble to work with dust from paper converting process\nThe employee constantly works near moving mechanical parts and lift trucks\nAmbient temp and humidity may be elevated during the summer months\nCompany Benefits\nWhat You'll Get From Us\nBenefits\nWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
