These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.\nJob Description\nMachine Operator\nNorcross, GA\nCompensation Includes\nStarting Pay Rate of $19.34 - 19.86/hour - depending on experienceAdditional $1.00/hour shift differential pay for 3rd shift\n\nAvailable Shifts\n2nd\n3rd\nOverview\nThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating high-speed paper converting equipment to safely produce high-quality paper bags, sheets, and pan liners. This role ensures all production activities are performed in accordance with job safety analyses, production schedules, setup instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality specifications. The Machine Operator adheres to all safety program and quality assurance systems to support the achievement of site business goals and operational objectives.\nResponsibilities\nUnderstand and follow all safety procedures\nRead and verify order sheets\nUnderstand print job requirements and quality issues\nPerform quality checks on finished products\nMaintain a safe and clean work area\nProduce and pack quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices\nMaintain Food Safety and Quality in compliance with SQF Standards\nRead, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork\nRead & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production\nComplete set-up and/or change-over activities with minimal assistance in allotted time\nParticipate in Preventive Maintenance Activities as assigned\nMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition\nComplete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures\nActively engage in safety programs\nQualifications\nMinimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process\nHigh School Diploma or GED is required\nEligible to work in the United States\nSuccessful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen\nSatisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management\nAbility to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation\nCommitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
