These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.\nJob Description\nMaintenance Specialist\nSt. Charles, IL\nAvailable Shift\n2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Mon-Fr\nCompensation Includes\nPay Range $31.52 - $40.37/hour - based on experience\nPlus $1.00 shift premium for 2nd & $1.50 shift premium for 3rd\nOverview\nThe Maintenance Specialist position is responsible for consistently troubleshooting, identifying, and correcting machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine. Provide innovative solutions for facility problems.\nResponsibilities\nDiagnose mechanical and electrical problems associated with all manufacturing equipment. Directly responsible for installation and repair of all equipment concerned with plant operations, services, buildings including storage and inventory of spare parts\nUnderstands schematics, prints, and drawings for the installation and repair of equipment and facility\nExamine equipment to diagnose trouble\nDisassembles, repairs, and tests facility machinery\nDemonstrates ability to start up plant (generator, air compressor, cooling tower, and chiller), normal plant shutdown, and emergency plant shut down\nReplaces faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems\nRigging and lifting \nIntermediate machine shop skills\nPerform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out\nPerform carpentry, plumbing, painting and other facility related work as necessary depending on assigned projects\nAssists electricians as needed\nCommunicates problems encountered through the shift with Plant Engineer/Shift Supervisor\nMaintains a clean and orderly work area\nAll maintenance mechanics are expected to be available to work in all areas of forming production\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications\n5 years related experience\nHigh Degree of mechanical ability and aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment\nBasic computer skills\nDemonstrated problem solving skills\nPhysical Requirements/ Environmental Conditions\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk\nUses hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls\nThe employee frequently is required to talk and hear to communicate with crew members\nRequired to climb, stoop, bend and reach with hands and arms\nThe employee is occasionally required to push or pull with hands or arms, kneel or crouch\nThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to distinguish shades and colors\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision\nPositive work attitude and willingness to cooperate\nAbility to work in a team environment\nThe noise level in the work environment is consistently above 85 decibels\nAble to work with dust from paper converting process\nThe employee constantly works near moving mechanical parts and lift trucks\nThe employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or vapors or hazardous products such as degreasers and silicone sprays\nAmbient temp and humidity may be elevated during the summer months\nCompany Benefits\nWhat You'll Get From Us\nBenefits\nWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
