This position also acts as a technical resource for all processing equipment. This position reports to the respective plant Maintenance Manager and takes direction from the Shift Manager in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Technician will maintain a clean and safe work environment in the maintenance work areas. Ensure food safe lubricants and non-food safe lubricants are used appropriately. Considers food safety and consumer safety while preforming work. Participates in GMP and food safety training. Follows GMP policy. Reports all food safety concerns with urgency. Performs all other duties or tasks as required by supervision.\nResponsibilities\nPerform installations and debug new equipment\nMaintain, overhaul & repair various types of equipment, systems, components, etc.\nPreventative Maintenance on all industrial machinery\nTroubleshoot and modify any/all industrial machinery\nAbility to provide concise reports using SAP programs, and related forms\nAssist with equipment retrofits/upgrades\nUnderstanding of common mechanical principles, electrical and electronic theory\nPerforms all work in accordance with established OSHA, EPA and safety regulations\nBuilding maintenance & repair\nMaintain a neat and orderly maintenance shop\nPreform food safety review when work order is completed\nMaintain separated storage of food safe and non-food safe lubricants and ensure proper use in the machines\nQualifications\nMust have a High School Diploma or GED\nPossess basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills\nMust be a team player with a “can do” attitude\nMust be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions\nSolid knowledge of company policies and the ability to hold people accountable\nGood organization, writing and verbal skills\nAbility to work on multiple projects and work the necessary times to accomplish goals\nCapable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers\nCapable of working in hot environment and in areas where inks and lubricants are used\nMust be capable of standing for long periods of time\nMust have good communication skills and basic computer and math skills\nMust be able to read basic English\nRegularly required to stand, sit, move about facility, climb stairs, bend, twist, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools and controls, grasp, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, lift above shoulder level.
