Maintains excellent safety and housekeeping standards and verifies quality at each assigned workstation.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nHot Press Operator:\nFollows all documented safety, quality, and production procedures.\nResponsible for ensuring the continuous operation of the mechanical hot press to achieve production goals.\nRestores flow if the hot press stops or encounters issues. \nTroubleshoot and communicate mechanical issues to the Hot Press Mechanic and management.\nIdentifies and removes defective cartons by observing the decline conveyor leading to the Hot Press and the outfeed.\nResponsible for immediately responding to and addressing alarms concerning carton jams.\nAs needed, assist in hand-feeding cartons into the line to increase productivity and decrease scrap.\nDemonstrates proper use of tools (e.g., dowel rods, picks)\nResponsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.\nIf a printer stops, is responsible for assisting with carton pick up at the outfeed.\nResponsible for maintaining the workstation until relieved.\nDuring line start-up and downtime, responsible for assisting with the clean-up of the oven area.\nImmediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.\nMaintains excellent safety record.\nMaintains an excellent attendance record.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nPrinter Operator:\nFollows all documented safety, quality, and production procedures.\nResponsible for verifying against a visual representation of the final product to ensure all cartons are made to order.\nResponsible for ensuring the accuracy of bundle tags, including the stamp, and ensuring all bundle tags are placed appropriately. \nCommunicate any quality defects to the Printer Mechanic and management.\nAssist in wiping down plates as necessary.\nAssist the picking up cartons on the line during downtimes. \nMaintain excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.\nResponsible for wrapping completed bundles. \nVerify order paperwork and sign plate change forms.\nResponsible for maintaining the workstation until relieved.\nDuring line start-up and downtime, responsible for assisting with the clean-up of the oven area.\nImmediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.\nMaintains excellent safety record.\nMaintains an excellent attendance record.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nOven Attendant:\nFollow all documented procedures for the position.\nEmpty oven run out stackers.\nCollect scrap and place it in appropriate bins.\nRespond to oven jams immediately. \nFrequently check the alignment of the product out of the oven onto the conveyor and resolve alignment issues. \nAssists with reducing Production scrap levels. \nAssists with emptying scrap bins from the Hot Press.\nMaintains effective communication with Hot Press Mechanic.\nInforms Natural Team Leader and/or Production Supervisor of any problems.\nMaintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.\nImmediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.\nMaintains excellent safety record.\nMaintains an excellent attendance record.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nAt least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment, including successful completion of jobs or similar activities requiring control of a mechanical process and inspection of product to meet quality standards. \nDemonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures. \nSkills:\nAn individual must have the following skills in the Dry End Operator position:\nAbility to work safely and to communicate with others in a professional manner.\nDemonstrated ability sufficient to determine product quality, for example, carton malformations, color verification, and structural integrity.\nDemonstrated hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for product handling.\nAbility to work well on a team.\nStanding for lengthy periods of time (frequent)\nSitting for extended periods of time (frequent)\nClimbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)\nWorking in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)\nMust be physically able to perform the essential job duties\nMust be able to work a rotating 12-hour schedule.\nWorks overtime as required.\nCompany Benefits\nWhat You'll Get From Us\nBenefits\nWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
