This person is responsible for translating supply plans for their products and customers into actionable schedules for the plants to execute on. The Senior Production Planner will lead the day-to-day decision making for their product line(s), as well as looking further out to identify capacity opportunities or concerns. This highly impactful and visible role will communicate and present with stakeholders and leaders across the organization. This person will be a key owner of the weekly S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) process.\nLocation\nPreference: Lake Forest, IL or Franklin OH\nOpen to remote for the right candidate\nEssential Functions and Key Responsibilities\nWork with multiple production sites to understand production capability, capacity and other considerations\nManage multi-step, multi-facility production process to achieve target inventory levels\nDrive continuous improvements to the S&OE process\nBe responsible for a product category/line across multiple business units\nMeet with Manufacturing stakeholders to review production plans, address constraints, and balance sourcing and loading between sites\nPlan timelines for Promotional needs for end to end process from graphic approval to production completion\nCoordinate the cross-functional response when significant service or raw material issues occur\nDevelop execution plans for significant planned outages, new products, inventory builds, and other events\nPerform data clean-up in the ERP system\nPrimary contact between the plants and customer service/sales\nOn a regular basis participate in meetings regarding capacity and capability of assets in scope and investment needs\nRequirements\nRelevant BA/BS degree\nAPICS or IBF certification preferred\nERP experience required\nMRP experience and understanding preferred\nExperience with Advanced Planning Software tools; experience with Blue Yonder preferred\nAnalytical capabilityAdvanced Excel\nDatabases\nAbility to translate data into information and conclusions\nAbility to communicate the impact of the analysis\n\nStrong judgement and confidence and business understanding to make decisions and challenge stakeholders\nAbility to communicate with business partners at different locations and different leadership levels\nAbility to travel (up to 10%)\nCompany Benefits\nWhat You'll Get From Us\nBenefits\nWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
