Novonesis offers meaningful projects, networking opportunities, and hands-on exposure to continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing practices.\nThe Role & Your Impact\nIn this role, you will help drive operational excellence across the production environment.\nKey responsibilities include:\nSupporting Management of Change (MOC) activities related to process, automation, and equipment improvements.\nDeveloping technical content to enhance the operator certification program.\nUtilizing process data and historian tools to create user-friendly solutions for process accounting and troubleshooting.\nAssisting with initiatives that streamline production and improve operational efficiency.\nParticipating in continuous improvement projects utilizing LEAN manufacturing principles.\nCollaborating with engineers and technicians on real-world manufacturing challenges.\nWhat You’ll Need to Be Successful\nRequired qualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 3.0 GPA (must be included on your resume).\nSophomore standing or higher at the time of application.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative manufacturing environment.\nAbility to arrange your own housing and transportation.\nAdditional Skills & Interests We Value\nPreferred qualifications include:\nPrevious internship experience.\nLaboratory experience.\nParticipation in engineering, technical, or student organizations.\nInterest in manufacturing, process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.\nFamiliarity with data analysis and process improvement methodologies.\nWays of Working / Working Conditions\nFull-time Co-Op assignment lasting 7 months.\nLocated on-site in Blair, Nebraska.\nWork performed in a manufacturing and production environment.\nRegular interaction with engineers, technicians, and production personnel.\nExposure to automated processing equipment and industrial operations.\nCompensation & Benefits\nExpected salary: $28/hr\nRelevant Information\nProgram Dates: January 4th, 2027 to August 1st, 2027\nPosition Type: Temporary position payrolled through a third-party provider\nApplication Deadline: November 13, 2026\nOur purpose guides the way\nIn Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity’s biggest challenges.
