As part of our Blending team, you’ll play a hands-on role in producing high-quality products that support our mission while working closely with teammates in a safety-focused manufacturing environment. The Blending team is responsible for checking in materials, setting up equipment, and accurately weighing and mixing ingredients.\nThe Role & Your Impact\nAs a Blending Operator, you will be a key contributor to daily production operations. Your work ensures that products are manufactured safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality, GMP, and regulatory standards.\nKey responsibilities include:\nSetting up, operating, adjusting, cleaning, and sanitizing blending equipment according to procedures\nAccurately weighing and mixing raw materials based on batch recipes and formulations\nPrinting, applying, and verifying product labels, lot numbers, and batch records\nPerforming basic and preventative maintenance (PM) and identifying equipment issues\nTaking samples for Quality Control testing as required\nMaintaining accurate production records, equipment logs, and inventory documentation\nAssisting in SOP development and continuous improvement activities using Lean principles\nSupporting other operators as needed to meet production demands\nFollowing all safety protocols, GMP requirements, and standardized work procedures\nAdhering to Kosher and Halal dietary law certification guidelines\nProperly using PPE, including Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR), and maintaining required certifications\nWhat You’ll Need to Be Successful\nTo perform this role safely and effectively, you’ll need:\nAbility to read, write, and speak English\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nExperience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred)\nAbility to apply basic math skills, including metric weight and volume conversions\nAbility to read and follow production journals and batch documentation\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety\nBasic computer skills; ERP system experience (SAP) is preferred\nAbility to communicate clearly with coworkers regarding production status\nAbility to use basic hand tools for equipment assembly and disassembly\nAdditional Skills & Interests We Value\nWhile not required, the following are a plus:\nExperience working in a GMP-regulated or food production environment\nForklift or pallet walker experience\nFamiliarity with Lean or continuous improvement concepts\nStrong reliability and attendance record\nInterest in learning new processes and expanding technical skills\nWhat We Offer\nAt Novonesis, we offer more than just a job:\nA collaborative, team-based work environment\nA strong safety and quality culture\nOpportunities to learn, grow, and develop new skills\nThe chance to contribute to meaningful, purpose-driven work\nWays of Working / Working Conditions\nShift: Weekend Shift\nHours: 5:00AM-5:00PM, Friday-Sunday\n Work location: Wausau, WI (On-site)\nPhysical demands: Frequent movement and lifting of materials ranging from 1 kg up to 50 kg\nWork environment: Manufacturing setting with equipment, noise, and airborne materials\nTeam-based work: All blending operations are performed by two people working together\nSafety requirements: Use of PPE and PAPR in designated environments; adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations\nCompensation & Benefits\n Hourly rate: $19.00 per hour plus shift premium\n401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution \nMinimum of 3 weeks of vacation plus 12 holidays and 2 weeks of Wellness Time \nHealth, Dental, Vision & Life insurance \nHealthcare savings account option \nEmployee assistance program \nParental leave \nTuition reimbursement \nAll benefits begin on your first day \nRelevant Information\nApplication deadline: 11/13/26\nOur purpose guides the way\nIn Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity’s biggest challenges.
