applications.\nTake end-to-end technical ownership of projects, ensuring scalable, maintainable, secure, and high-quality implementations.\nWork hands-on across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and third-party integrations.\nDefine technical architecture, technology choices, coding standards, and engineering best practices.\nConduct code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.\nMentor developers and provide technical guidance throughout design and implementation.\nIdentify technical risks, bottlenecks, scalability concerns, and architectural challenges early in the development lifecycle.\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Designers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.\nParticipate in effort estimation, sprint planning, technical discussions, and delivery planning.\nTroubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis and permanent resolutions.\nEvaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, development practices, and AI-assisted engineering tools where appropriate.\nIdentify opportunities to incorporate AI/GenAI capabilities into products, workflows, and internal engineering processes.\nEnsure applications follow appropriate practices for security, data privacy, authentication, authorisation, logging, and monitoring.\n\nRequirements: \n6+ years of professional software development experience.\nStrong experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications.\nStrong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.\nExperience with frontend frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, Angular, Vue.js, or similar.\nStrong backend development experience using Node.js and/or other modern backend frameworks and languages.\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, API design, authentication, authorisation, and third-party integrations.\nExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.\nGood understanding of system design, distributed systems, scalability, caching, asynchronous processing, and performance optimisation.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.\nFamiliarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development workflows, monitoring, and modern DevOps practices.\nStrong understanding of application security and secure software development practices.\n\nAI / GenAI Skills: \nThe candidate should have a practical understanding of the modern AI ecosystem and its application in software products.\nExperience or knowledge in the following areas will be an advantage:\nLLM-based applications and APIs\nOpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar AI platforms\nAI agents and agentic workflows\nRAG and vector databases\nPrompt engineering and structured outputs\nAI-assisted development tools\nIntegration of AI capabilities into existing web applications\nReliability, security, privacy, cost, and hallucination considerations in production AI systems\nDeep AI/ML research experience is not mandatory.\nThe candidate should, however, be comfortable understanding and integrating modern AI capabilities into software products.\n\nFinTech / BFSI Experience - Preferred: \nPrior experience working with FinTech, BFSI, lending, payments, banking, insurance, credit, or financial services products in India will be strongly preferred.\nExperience in any of the following areas will be particularly valuable:\nDigital lending / Loan Management Systems\nPayments and payment gateways\nCredit bureau and credit-score integrations\nKYC / eKYC and identity verification\nAccount Aggregator ecosystem\nUPI / NPCI integrations\nBanking and NBFC integrations\nFinancial APIs and third-party FinTech platforms\nRBI-related technology and compliance requirements\nData security and privacy requirements for financial applications\n\nLeadership and Soft Skills: \nProven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.\nStrong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical capabilities.\nAbility to make sound technical and architectural decisions.\nStrong ownership mindset with accountability for project delivery.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.\nAbility to balance engineering quality with practical business and delivery requirements.\nStrong documentation and communication skills.\n\nGood to Have: \nWe are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead rather than a purely managerial profile.\nThe ideal candidate should be
