By leveraging data-driven insights, predictive maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement methodologies, you will help reduce unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance effectiveness, and support long-term operational excellence.\nThe role & your impact\nIn this role, you will be responsible for developing and driving equipment reliability programs for electrical and utility systems throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with maintenance, production, engineering, and project teams to improve equipment availability, identify failure risks, and implement sustainable reliability solutions.\nYour key responsibilities in this role\nDevelop and implement reliability improvement plans for utility and electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, distribution systems, switchgear, and control systems.\nEstablish equipment reliability evaluation methodologies and identify potential failure risks through data analysis and performance monitoring.\nLead root cause investigations for electrical and utility equipment failures using RCA, FMEA, and other reliability engineering tools.\nDevelop, implement, and track corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring equipment issues.\nOptimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability while balancing maintenance costs.\nBuild and maintain equipment health monitoring systems, analyzing parameters such as temperature, vibration, current, voltage, and maintenance history.\nGenerate reliability reports, equipment health assessments, and predictive maintenance recommendations based on data trends.\nParticipate in developing technical standards and operating procedures covering equipment selection, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and lifecycle management.\nSupport new equipment introduction projects through reliability reviews and risk assessments.\nProvide technical guidance to maintenance and operations teams to resolve complex electrical issues.\nDevelop reliability-focused training programs and promote a culture of proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.\nStay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advanced condition monitoring tools to continuously improve reliability performance.\nWhat you’ll need to be successful in this role\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, reliability engineering, asset management, or a related industrial environment.\nStrong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, motors, transformers, MCCs, control systems, and utility equipment.\nProven experience applying reliability methodologies such as FMEA, RCA, RCM, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.\nExperience with condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret equipment performance data and identify reliability risks.\nExperience using CMMS, EAM, or asset management systems.\nAbility to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nGood written and verbal English communication skills.\nStrong ownership mindset, continuous improvement focus, and ability to drive change.\nAdditional skills & interests we value\nExperience with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), digital maintenance, or smart manufacturing initiatives.\nKnowledge of ISO 55000 asset management principles.\nCertification in reliability engineering, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related disciplines.\nExperience with data analytics, equipment health modeling, or predictive analytics tools.\nFamiliarity with thermal imaging, vibration analysis, power quality analysis, and online monitoring technologies.\nPassion for innovation and continuous improvement in maintenance and reliability practices.\nWhat we offer you\nAn opportunity to join a globally recognized company focused on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.\nExposure to advanced reliability engineering methodologies and digital maintenance technologies.\nA collaborative working environment where engineering, production, and maintenance teams work together to deliver impactful results.\nContinuous learning and professional development opportunities.\nThe chance to contribute directly to equipment performance, plant reliability, and business success.\nAn inclusive culture that values diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nWorking conditions\nPrimarily site-based role supporting manufacturing and utility operations.\nFrequent interaction with production areas, utility facilities, substations, and electrical equipment installations.\nRegular field inspections and equipment condition assessments.\nMay require support during critical equipment failures, shutdowns, or major maintenance activities.\nOccasional after-hours support may be required based on operational needs.\nTravel requirements, work schedule, and on-call expectations to be defined according to site requirements.\nOur purpose guides the way\nIn Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity’s biggest challenges.
