Your expertise will help improve asset reliability, optimize maintenance processes, and create a safe and efficient working environment.\nThe Role & Your Impact\nAs Maintenance Supervisor, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with maintenance leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring high equipment availability, improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and supporting the site's continuous improvement journey.\nKey responsibilities include:\nLead and coordinate daily maintenance activities, resources, contractors, materials, and equipment availability.\nSupervise and develop a team of maintenance employees through coaching, training, and performance support.\nManage work order planning, prioritization, execution, and backlog control through CMMS systems.\nDrive improvements to preventive maintenance programs and introduce predictive maintenance practices.\nOptimize spare parts inventory and maintenance purchasing processes using CMMS and SAP.\nProvide technical leadership in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment and facility systems.\nMonitor and improve maintenance KPIs to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nLead plant shutdown coordination activities and support site reliability initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including Process Safety Management activities related to ammonia systems.\nPartner with Engineering teams on equipment reliability improvements, change control activities, and capital improvement projects.\nWhat You'll Need to Be Successful\nHigh school diploma, Technical Trade School diploma, or equivalent required.\nAssociate degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.\n4-6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.\nMinimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.\nStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.\nExperience working with CMMS systems and SAP.\nKnowledge of maintenance planning, work order management, and inventory control processes.\nExperience coordinating contractors and maintenance resources.\nStrong organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.\nAbility to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and other business systems.\nAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.\nExperience applying root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.\nAdditional Skills & Interests We Value\nExperience within food, fermentation, biotechnology, or bioscience manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance technologies.\nFamiliarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and Process Safety Management requirements.\nExperience supporting CAPEX projects and engineering change processes.\nLean manufacturing or reliability-centered maintenance experience.\nTechnical apprenticeship training or advanced maintenance certifications.\nWays of Working / Working Conditions\nThis role is split between office and production environments, with approximately 50% of time spent in each setting.\nRegular use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hair nets, and respirators, is required.\nExposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, humidity, dust, moving equipment, fumes, and airborne particles.\nFrequent standing, walking, speaking, and hearing throughout the workday.\nAbility to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.\nFrequent use of hands and tools to inspect, operate, and maintain equipment.\nOccasional use of ladders, forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment.\nCompensation & Benefits\nExpected salary range: $75k to $95k\nBenefits you will enjoy:\n401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution.\nMinimum of 3 weeks’ vacation, 12 holidays, and 2 weeks of Wellness Time.\nHealth, Dental, Vision & Life insurance.\nHSA option with generous employer contribution.\nEmployee assistance program.\nParental leave.\nTuition reimbursement.\nAll benefits begin on your first day!\nRelevant Information\nApplication Deadline: October 22, 2026\nOur purpose guides the way\nIn Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity’s biggest challenges.
