Working hands-on with production teams and collaborating across local and global networks, you will contribute to cost efficiency, sustainability, continuous improvement, and the successful introduction of products and technologies.\nYour key responsibilities in this role\nSupport and optimize fermentation and recovery production processes and equipment to help ensure smooth operations and stable customer supply.\nDrive process optimization initiatives that improve cost efficiency and sustainability, working closely with local production teams and the global optimization network.\nManage and optimize product Bills of Materials, yield performance, and process variance budgets.\nMonitor production performance closely, providing technical support and troubleshooting when needed.\nCollaborate with local and global stakeholders to support new product introductions and site transfers.\nIdentify process or equipment constraints, propose technical solutions, and act as User Manager for assigned CAPEX projects.\nWhat you’ll need to be successful in this role\nA master’s degree or PhD in Fermentation, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.\nThe ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.\nStrong stakeholder-management capabilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.\nA proactive mindset, learning agility, and curiosity.\nGood spoken, written, and listening skills in English.\nAdditional skills & interests we value\nTwo or more years of relevant experience in fermentation, recovery, or bioprocessing environments.\nAn interest in process optimization, sustainability, production-expansion projects, or new technology implementation.\nThe potential and interest to develop broader leadership capabilities over time.\nWhat we offer you\nYou will join a collaborative environment where process engineers and User Managers work from the same office, connect through regular touchpoints, and hold dedicated meetings for sharing and technical discussion.\nThe role provides opportunities to work with local production teams and global stakeholders while contributing to process optimization, operational excellence, new product introductions, site transfers, and technology implementation.\nWorking conditions\nThis is an onsite position based at the Taicang Plant.\nOur purpose guides the way\nIn Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity’s biggest challenges.
