Working closely with internal functions and external partners, you will help ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with a smooth transition into operations.\nThe role & your impact\nAs Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary capital projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to design, execution, commissioning, and handover.\nThis is an individual-contributor role with significant responsibility for project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder alignment. You will work across technical, operational, regulatory, and commercial areas to deliver facilities that meet business needs and applicable standards.\nYour key responsibilities in this role\nLead the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, design, execution, commissioning, and handover.\nTranslate user requirement specifications into clear project plans, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and success criteria.\nManage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specification.\nCoordinate internal stakeholders across Production, Quality, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and user functions, as well as external design institutes, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.\nMonitor progress, identify risks and issues, and drive effective mitigation or recovery plans.\nLead project meetings, follow up on actions and decisions, prepare status reports, and escalate significant deviations with practical recommendations.\nWhat you’ll need to be successful in this role\nA bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil, intelligent manufacturing, pharmaceutical engineering, project management, or a related field.\nAt least three years of industrial project management experience, preferably gained on the owner’s side in food, pharmaceutical, biotech, cleanroom, or another regulated-facility environment.\nStrong knowledge of project management across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management.\nFamiliarity with GMP-related facility requirements and industrial construction and installation practices.\nEnglish proficiency sufficient for day-to-day project management, technical and commercial communication, and reporting.\nStrong stakeholder-management, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and risk-control capabilities.\nThe ability to align multiple parties, resolve conflicts, exercise sound judgment, and communicate clearly.\nAdditional skills & interests we value\nExperience with fermentation, recovery, spray drying, or packaging processes.\nExperience delivering large, multidisciplinary capital projects.\nAn interest in technical compliance, operational excellence, and continuously improving project delivery.\nWhat we offer you\nYou will join a collaborative project environment where you can contribute across the complete project lifecycle and work with a broad range of internal specialists and external partners.\nThe role offers the opportunity to lead technically and operationally complex projects with a direct connection to site development, compliance, safety, quality, and business performance.\nWorking conditions\nThis position is based on-site at the Taicang plant.\nOur purpose guides the way\nIn Novonesis, we know that solutions rooted in biology can help solve humanity’s biggest challenges.
