Working closely with global and local stakeholders, you will play a key role in translating strategic program objectives into successfully commissioned sites that support Novonesis’ long-term growth and purpose.\nThe Role & Your Impact\nAs a Project Manager, you will lead one or more overseas food or pharmaceutical capital projects from initiation through handover. The role is a mixed strategic and operational position, combining strong governance with hands-on coordination across engineering, construction, quality, and operations.\nYour key responsibilities include:\nLeading the full project lifecycle from planning and execution to commissioning and handover\nTranslating program and portfolio objectives into clear project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables\nManaging scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget\nCoordinating internal stakeholders (User teams, Production, Quality, EHS, Procurement, Finance) and external partners (design institutes, contractors, suppliers, consultants)\nEnsuring facilities comply with GMP requirements and applicable regulatory and industry standards\nManaging interfaces across civil, architectural, utilities, HVAC, cleanroom, and process equipment disciplines\nSupporting commissioning, start-up, and smooth handover to end users and operations teams\nDriving clear communication, decision-making, and escalation to program management and senior leaders when needed\nWhat You’ll Need to Be Successful\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Pharmaceutical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field\nMinimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial projects, preferably within food, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated facilities\nExperience working on overseas or multicultural project sites\nEssential Skills & Competencies\nSolid understanding of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management\nFamiliarity with GMP-related facility requirements and industrial construction and installation practices\nStrong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple parties and resolve conflicts\nProven problem-solving ability in complex project environments\nEnglish proficiency suitable for daily project management, technical and commercial communication, and reporting\nAdditional Skills & Interests We Value\nExperience with fermentation, recovery, spray drying, packaging, or similar process areas\nExposure to commissioning and start-up of regulated manufacturing facilities\nAdditional local language skills relevant to the project location\nExperience working in matrix or global organizations\nWhat We Offer\nAt Novonesis, you will work in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment where engineering excellence and project leadership directly contribute to sustainable solutions for food, health, and industry.
