We are committed to innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.\nPosition Overview\nThe Building Operations Manager serves as the intermediary leader between the Site Operations Director and the Site Operations Supervisors. This role is responsible for translating strategic direction into operational execution, ensuring that data center operations, customer experience, security, and compliance standards are consistently met.\nThe Manager oversees day-to-day building operations, aligns staff performance with company objectives, ensures operational readiness, and acts as a key escalation point for supervisors. This position balances tactical oversight of operations with strategic leadership, driving both short-term performance and long-term improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership & Team Management\nManage and mentor Site Operations Supervisors, ensuring effective oversight of OST Technicians.\nDevelop training and succession plans to build high-performing, cross-functional teams.\nServe as the primary escalation point for Supervisors, providing guidance on operational, technical, and customer-facing issues.\nReinforce NOVVA’s culture of professionalism, innovation, and customer focus.\nOperational Oversight\nEnsure execution of all standard operating procedures (SOPs), incident response protocols, and compliance requirements across the facility.\nOversee daily operations, including monitoring of IT systems, security systems, alarms, and facility conditions.\nCoordinate and validate preventive/corrective maintenance schedules with facilities and vendors.\nTrack capacity planning, cabinet/containment layouts, and white space utilization in collaboration with the Site Director.\nSecurity & Compliance\nEnsure supervisors enforce access controls, video surveillance, and property management procedures.\nReview escalated incidents, violations, or suspicious activity and coordinate appropriate follow-up.\nPartner with compliance and audit teams to prepare documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.\nCustomer Experience & Service Delivery\nOversee customer onboarding, provisioning, and support activities led by Supervisors and Technicians.\nEnsure consistent communication and professional handling of customer issues, escalations, and maintenance windows.\nSupport customer tours, vendor visits, and service demonstrations as a leadership representative.\nProject & Change Management\nCoordinate change management, provisioning requests, and upgrades with Supervisors to minimize service impact.\nReview Supervisor reports on project status, resource needs, and risks; escalate as appropriate to the Site Director.\nDrive continuous process improvements in workflow efficiency and documentation quality.\nIncident Response & Reporting\nAct as a leadership point of contact for Advisory and Critical events when escalated from Supervisors.\nEnsure accurate, timely incident reporting and verify that corrective actions are documented and tracked to closure.\nProvide consolidated operational reports and recommendations to the Site Director.\nQualifications\nEducation & Certifications\nRequired: High School Diploma or GED\nPreferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field\nCertifications (preferred or required within 6-12 months):\nData center operations or security certifications\nProject management or leadership credentials (PMP, ITIL, etc.)\nExperience & Skills\n5+ years of experience in data center operations, IT systems support, or facility security, with least 2+ years in a leadership or management capacity.\nStrong knowledge of monitoring and access control platforms (e.g., Milestone, Lenel).\nExperience with ticketing systems, change management, and compliance documentation.\nSolid technical foundation in IT systems, networking fundamentals, and incident response.\nDemonstrated ability to lead through others, coach supervisors, and maintain accountability.\nBehavioral Competencies\nStrong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and develop teams.\nCalm, decisive, and professional under pressure.\nCustomer-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nDetail-oriented and process-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.\nAdaptable, forward-thinking, and committed to continuous improvement.\nWhy Join NOVVA?\nAt Novva you will play a critical role in one of the industry’s most advanced and sustainable data center environments.
