We’re hiring a Cinematographer to make the work of rebuilding American manufacturing impossible to ignore. You will create distinctive films about our factories, customers, people, and technology, from fast-moving social content to polished brand and recruiting pieces.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who can find a story on a noisy factory floor, light it safely, and carry a strong visual idea from planning through capture. You will work closely with marketing, recruiting, sales, and operations and travel between our facilities as production requires.\nYou will:\nDevelop visual treatments, shot lists, lighting plans, and production schedules\n\nDirect and capture interviews, factory processes, product footage, and customer stories\n\nOperate cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, stabilization, and related production equipment\n\nWork safely around active industrial equipment and follow all site requirements\n\nTranslate campaign goals into images with a recognizable Nox Metals point of view\n\nPartner with editors and designers to plan coverage that cuts cleanly across formats\n\nOrganize, label, back up, and hand off footage and production notes reliably\n\nMaintain equipment and improve our in-house production workflow\n\nBalance planned productions with fast-turn opportunities from the floor\n\nYou are:\nA strong visual storyteller with excellent composition, lighting, camera movement, and exposure judgment\n\nComfortable directing both experienced speakers and people who have never been on camera\n\nResourceful in imperfect, fast-moving environments\n\nOrganized about preproduction, releases, media management, and deadlines\n\nRespectful of safety and the people doing the work\n\nCurious about manufacturing, machinery, and the people who keep American industry moving\n\nLow ego, collaborative, and willing to carry gear and solve the unglamorous problems\n\nNice to have:\nExperience filming industrial, automotive, aerospace, documentary, or commercial work\n\nWorking knowledge of sound recording, color workflows, and motion-control tools\n\nExperience creating vertical and short-form content without sacrificing craft\n\nFAA Part 107 certification or experience coordinating drone shoots\n\nComfort using AI tools to improve research, planning, and production workflows\n\nBenefits:\nEquity in Nox Metals\n\nCompany-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance\n\nThis role is full time and in person in either Los Angeles or Detroit, with travel between sites as needed.\nNox Metals is an equal opportunity employer.
