We’re hiring Manufacturing Engineers to make our factories safer, faster, and more repeatable. You will improve the systems that turn incoming aluminum into accurate, on-time customer shipments: equipment, tooling, layouts, work instructions, data collection, and operator workflows.\nThis is a floor-first engineering role. You will spend time where the work happens, understand the constraint, test practical improvements, and make sure the new process holds.\nYou will:\nImprove safety, quality, throughput, uptime, and material flow\n\nStudy production constraints and turn observations into measurable improvements\n\nDesign tooling, fixtures, layouts, and operator workstations\n\nCreate and maintain clear work instructions and standard processes\n\nSupport equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up\n\nInvestigate defects, downtime, and missed targets through structured root-cause analysis\n\nBuild useful production metrics and verify that improvements deliver results\n\nPartner with operators, maintenance, quality, software, and leadership\n\nTrain teams on new processes and incorporate floor feedback\n\nSupport production directly when an urgent issue threatens safety or delivery\n\nYou are:\nHands-on and happiest solving problems on the factory floor\n\nCommitted to safety and unwilling to trade it for speed\n\nAnalytical, observant, and disciplined about root causes\n\nComfortable with drawings, process data, and technical documentation\n\nAble to explain technical changes clearly to operators and leaders\n\nPractical about cost, timing, and implementation\n\nRespectful of operator knowledge and willing to test your assumptions\n\nOrganized, dependable, and accountable for results\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with metals, cutting equipment, CNC machinery, or material handling\n\nExperience with CAD, fixtures, controls, or equipment commissioning\n\nFamiliarity with Lean methods, statistical process control, or preventive maintenance\n\nExperience connecting production equipment and software systems\n\nBenefits:\nEquity in Nox Metals\n\nCompany-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance\n\nThis role is full time, in person in either Detroit, Michigan, or Los Angeles.\nNox Metals is an equal opportunity employer.
