We’re hiring an Operations Trainer to help every new floor employee become safe, confident, and effective. You will lead hands-on onboarding, maintain training standards, and work with operations leaders to close skill gaps across material handling, saws, shipping, and our software systems.\nThis is a floor-based role. The best training at Nox Metals happens beside the work, with clear demonstrations, supervised practice, and documented qualification.\nYou will:\nDeliver new-hire orientation and floor onboarding\n\nTeach safety procedures, standard work, material traceability, and software workflows\n\nCoordinate equipment training and qualification with authorized leaders\n\nBuild and maintain practical training guides, checklists, and skills matrices\n\nObserve employees performing work and provide clear coaching\n\nIdentify recurring errors and partner with leaders to improve the process\n\nTrack required training and follow up before qualifications expire\n\nSupport retraining after incidents, process changes, or quality issues\n\nHelp Production Supervisors become stronger on-the-job coaches\n\nComplete other tasks as assigned\n\nYou are:\nA patient, credible teacher who enjoys helping people improve\n\nComfortable demonstrating work on a manufacturing floor\n\nClear in both written and spoken communication\n\nSerious about safety and unwilling to sign off incomplete training\n\nOrganized with records, schedules, and follow-up\n\nAble to adapt your teaching to different experience levels and learning styles\n\nComfortable with software, documentation, and operating data\n\nNice to have:\nExperience training employees in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or another industrial setting\n\nHands-on experience with forklifts, cranes, saws, shipping, or material handling\n\nExperience building standard work or qualification programs\n\nFamiliarity with adult learning or train-the-trainer methods\n\nComfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter\n\nBenefits:\nEquity in Nox Metals\n\nCompany-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance\n\nThis role is full time and in person in Detroit.\nNox Metals is an equal opportunity employer.
