We’re hiring a People Operations Associate to make employment at our Detroit facility organized, responsive, and dependable. You will support onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, time and attendance, training coordination, and the everyday questions that matter to our team.\nYou will be a visible partner on the factory floor and a careful steward of sensitive information. The work ranges from welcoming a new hire to fixing a record, helping a supervisor follow a process, or making sure a benefit change reaches the right system.\nYou will:\nCoordinate preboarding, orientation, paperwork, equipment, and first-week schedules\n\nMaintain complete and accurate employee records across people systems\n\nSupport benefits enrollment, employee changes, and common employee questions\n\nHelp manage timekeeping, attendance records, leave documentation, and payroll inputs\n\nTrack required training, acknowledgments, and employment documents\n\nSupport hourly recruiting, interviews, offers, and hiring logistics when needed\n\nExplain policies clearly and escalate sensitive matters appropriately\n\nPrepare regular people reports and investigate data discrepancies\n\nCoordinate employee events and practical workplace needs\n\nImprove forms, checklists, and workflows as the team grows\n\nYou are:\nWarm, discreet, and trustworthy with confidential information\n\nExtremely organized and reliable about details and follow-up\n\nComfortable supporting both factory employees and managers\n\nA clear communicator who can explain a process without unnecessary jargon\n\nCalm when a teammate brings you an urgent or personal concern\n\nComfortable using HR software, spreadsheets, and shared documentation\n\nFair, consistent, and willing to say when you need to find the right answer\n\nNice to have:\nExperience in people operations, HR coordination, office administration, or payroll support\n\nExperience supporting hourly teams in manufacturing, warehousing, retail, or hospitality\n\nFamiliarity with HRIS, benefits, timekeeping, or applicant-tracking systems\n\nKnowledge of Michigan employment practices\n\nComfort using AI tools carefully for administration, analysis, and communications\n\nBenefits:\nEquity in Nox Metals\n\nCompany-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance\n\nThis role is full time and in person in Detroit.\nNox Metals is an equal opportunity employer.
