As NPower works toward its goal of training 15,000 students annually by 2030, it remains committed to expanding access to tech careers and shaping a domestic workforce that reflects the full potential of our communities.\nPosition Summary\nAs a leader among a team of very talented grant writers, this is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic period of growth by a national workforce development organization. The Senior Grant Writer supports the growing needs of the development team. This position will support the fundraising team through coordinating and drafting grant proposals and reports. This position will regularly work on six and seven-figure grant opportunities within an organization that is undergoing tremendous growth.\nResponsibilities\nIn collaboration with the Grants Manager and Development team, develop, write, and submit LOIs, proposals, and reports to prospective and existing funders within the assigned deadline.\nMaintain proposal and report documentation using the CRM and track all reporting deadlines.\nWork closely with program, finance, and administrative staff to gather required data for proposals and reporting\nUpdate grant narratives to ensure they reflect the community needs, program descriptions, and targeted outcomes\nSupport other NPower fundraising activities as needed\nQualifications\n5+ years of government, foundation, and/or corporate grant writing experience \nExcellent writing and proofreading skills\nAbility to describe complex concepts or programs in concise yet impactful terms \nTrack record securing grant awards for six-figure+ grants \nExcellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and pacing \nProven ability to implement program data and other supporting research into grant requests \nKnowledge of fundraising information sources and research tools \nFundraising experience for one or more of the following fields strongly preferred: workforce development, opportunity young adults, veterans and their families\nAbility to work independently while also taking explicit direction from supervisor \nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint \nKnowledge of Salesforce or nonprofit CRM database is preferred\nBachelor’s degree \nCompensation for this role is location-based.
