We are working with urgency to bring better therapies to\npatients faster.\nPosition Overview\nN-Power Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff, Contracts & Legal Operations Manager reporting to the VP, Operations. The Senior Staff, Contracts & Legal Operations Manager will play a key role in managing the company’s contractual relationships, ensuring that contracts are executed efficiently, comply with applicable laws, and mitigate risks. The Senior Staff, Contracts & Legal Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiating to managing and enforcing contracts. This is a key non-lawyer role that supports the efficient operation of our legal function by managing contracts, streamlining workflows, and coordinating legal processes. The ideal candidate has experience in contract administration, knowledge of healthcare compliance, strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners.\nThis is a hybrid on-site role; Bay Area is required.\nRole Objectives and Responsibilities\nManage the full contract lifecycle, including intake, drafting, negotiation, coordination,\napproval workflows, signature, and storage.\nMaintain and improve our contract management process, ensuring accurate tracking of key terms, expirations, and renewals.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to develop templates aligned to the company’s\nstrategy and facilitate timely contract execution. Serve as the primary contact for\ncontract-related matters and escalate legal questions to legal counsel, as appropriate.\nMaintain relationships with our contracted third parties (such as vendors,\ncustomers, network partners) and serve as the primary contact for contract-\nrelated matters.\nCoordinate legal operations including document management, legal spend tracking, and\nvendor onboarding in collaboration with Finance and the Security, Privacy, Quality, and\nPrivacy team.\nMonitor contracts and facilitate close-out, extension, or renewal as necessary.\nResolve contract-related issues with external parties and internal stakeholders.\nCommunicate contract-related information to stakeholders.\nSupport compliance and governance initiatives by ensuring contract templates and\nprocesses align with company policies.\nPrepare reports and metrics on contract volume, turnaround time, and legal team\nperformance.\nOrganize and support internal review committees (e.g., compliance, ethics, policy),\nincluding meeting logistics, documentation, and follow-up actions.\nSupport the implementation of legal technology tools (e.g., contract management\nrepository).\nEducation, Experience, Behavioral Competencies, & Skills\n5+ years of experience in legal operations, contract management, procurement, or a\nrelated field in the healthcare industry.\nStrong understanding of contract processes and standard contract terms.\nExperience with contract lifecycle management tools.\nExcellent organizational and project management skills.\nProficiency in negotiation and relationship management.\nStrong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.\nCreative thinker with a keen eye for detail.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nCertification in contract management or a relevant field is a plus.\nAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nBachelor’s degree in business, paralegal studies, or a related field preferred.\nTravel Requirements\nAbility to travel may be required from time to time\nPay Information\nThe expected salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. Actual pay will be\ndetermined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related\nfactors permitted by law. N-Power Medicine (NPM) offers equity at hire as well as a\ndiscretionary annual bonus which may be available based on Company performance.
