With a global heritage and a strong presence across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, we combine the scale and capability to take on complex challenges with the agility, collaboration and the personal connection of a local team.\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\nNRI is seeking an experienced Technical / Infrastructure Project Manager to join a major internal technology integration program bringing multiple parts of the organisation together into a single Microsoft ecosystem.\nThis is a hands-on delivery role within a large-scale transformation program, managing multiple concurrent Microsoft technology workstreams across Microsoft 365 migration, Modern Workplace, endpoint management, Intune, security and compliance.\nThis is an initial 12-month contract supporting a program with approximately 18 months of planned delivery remaining, providing potential for extension.\nCandidates can be based anywhere in Australia; however, Sydney or Melbourne is preferred due to the majority of the project team being based on the East Coast. Candidates based elsewhere will need to be comfortable working predominantly to East Coast hours.\nRemote work is mostly ok, with occasional in-office catch-ups with key stakeholders as required, depending on location.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nYou’ll take ownership of key streams within the program, working closely with architects, technical leads and senior stakeholders to drive delivery against defined timelines and milestones. Key areas of responsibility will include:\nLeading Microsoft 365 migration and integration workstreams, including the migration of users and data into a new M365 tenancy.\n\nManaging endpoint transformation, including the rollout of a new Standard Operating Environment (SOE) and migration of endpoints into Microsoft Intune.\n\nSupporting broader security, data and compliance uplift initiatives.\n\nManaging multiple technical workstreams, dependencies, risks, issues and delivery timelines.\n\nWorking closely with architects, technical leads and engineering teams to coordinate technical delivery.\n\nLeading technical and project workshops with key stakeholders.\n\nProviding clear program status, risk and delivery reporting, including monthly executive/board-level reporting.\n\nEnsuring projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines and budget.\n\nThe broader position also requires strong project planning, financial management and the ability to coordinate technical teams and resources throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nSKILLS & EXPERIENCE\nWe’re particularly interested in Technical Project Managers who have already delivered complex Microsoft migration or Modern Workplace programs and can bring that experience into the program from day one. Ideally, you’ll have:\nStrong Technical Project Management experience within Microsoft environments.\n\nDemonstrated experience delivering Microsoft 365 migration programs, ideally including tenant-to-tenant migrations.\n\nExperience with Intune, endpoint/device migrations and/or SOE deployments.\n\nA strong high-level understanding of Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies and the ability to work confidently with architects and technical specialists.\n\nExperience managing multiple concurrent technical workstreams and complex dependencies.\n\nStrong stakeholder management skills across technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leadership.\n\nExperience facilitating technical workshops and driving actions through to delivery.\n\nStrong governance and reporting capability, including executive or board-level reporting.\n\nA proven ability to deliver complex programs against strict timelines.\n\nPRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is desirable.\n\nWHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING AT NRI\nAt NRI, we believe great careers are built through solving complex challenges, continuous growth and the opportunity to make an impact.
