With a global heritage and a strong presence across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, we combine the scale and capability to take on complex challenges with the agility, collaboration and the personal connection of a local team.\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\nLead a major SharePoint Online and OneDrive migration as part of a large-scale Microsoft 365 transformation program.\nWe're looking for an experienced Microsoft SharePoint Migration Lead to join a major internal IT transformation program, bringing two established organisations together into a single Microsoft 365 environment.\nThis is a key technical leadership role for a significant integration program consolidating Microsoft technologies, systems and services across the business.\nYou'll take ownership of the SharePoint Online and OneDrive migration workstream, leading the technical strategy, planning and delivery of a complex tenant-to-tenant migration.\nWe're looking for someone who has personally delivered similar Microsoft 365 migrations, brings strong hands-on SharePoint expertise and can confidently lead technical resources through the full migration lifecycle.\nThis is an initial 12-month contract supporting a program with approximately 18 months of planned delivery remaining, providing potential for extension.\nCandidates can be based anywhere in Australia; however, Sydney or Melbourne is preferred due to the majority of the project team being based on the East Coast. Candidates based elsewhere will need to be comfortable working predominantly to East Coast hours.\nWe offer hybrid working arrangements, balancing time in the office each week with the flexibility to work remotely, depending on role and location.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead the end-to-end migration of SharePoint Online and OneDrive content between Microsoft 365 tenants.\nAssess existing SharePoint environments, including sites, permissions, content structures and migration dependencies.\nDevelop and execute the migration strategy, including migration waves, cutover planning and rollback approaches.\nLead migrations using tools such as ShareGate and AvePoint.\nManage SharePoint content restructuring, site consolidation, information architecture and metadata migration.\nEnsure permissions, security settings and governance requirements are maintained throughout the migration.\nIdentify and manage dependencies with Power Automate, Power Apps and other Microsoft 365 services.\nUse PowerShell to automate migration activities, administration and reporting.\nTroubleshoot complex migration issues and act as the technical escalation point for the workstream.\nWork closely with project managers, architects, security teams and technical engineers to ensure successful delivery.\nOversee post-migration validation, documentation and handover to operational teams.\nSKILLS & EXPERIENCE\nProven experience leading SharePoint Online and OneDrive tenant-to-tenant migrations within complex enterprise environments.\nStrong hands-on experience with ShareGate and/or AvePoint migration tools.\nDeep technical knowledge of SharePoint Online administration, site collections, hub sites, permissions and modern SharePoint architecture.\nExperience planning and executing large-scale OneDrive for Business migrations.\nStrong understanding of SharePoint information architecture, metadata, content types and site restructuring.\nExperience with PowerShell scripting and automation.\nWorking knowledge of Power Platform integrations, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps.\nGood understanding of Microsoft 365 security, governance, retention policies and sensitivity labels.\nAbility to lead technical resources, manage migration risks and work effectively with business stakeholders.\nStrong communication skills and a proven track record delivering complex migration programs to agreed timelines.\nWHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING AT NRI\nAt NRI, we believe great careers are built through solving complex challenges, continuous growth and the opportunity to make an impact.
