We provide SIXT Star Service, ensuring every move is a memorable experience.\nJob Description\nWhat You’ll Do\nWe are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Category Manager to join our SIXT Australia business.\nIn this role, you will support the day-to-day delivery of procurement services for SIXT across assigned categories and business requirements. The role coordinates sourcing and tender activities, supplier engagement, commercial analysis, benchmarking, contract administration and purchase-to-pay processes. It works closely with business stakeholders to ensure procurement activity is practical, timely, compliant and delivers measurable commercial and operational value.\nThis full-time permanent position is a hybrid work opportunity where you will be required to work across our Sydney offices as well as work from home as required and agreed.\nWhat You’ll Do\nIn this role, you will:\nManage end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, from planning through evaluation, recommendation and contract award.\nPartner with stakeholders to define requirements, specifications, evaluation criteria and commercial assumptions for procurement initiatives.\nPrepare procurement documentation including tender packs, pricing schedules, response templates, evaluation matrices and approval papers using approved templates.\nConduct commercial evaluations, analyse supplier proposals, benchmark pricing and support evidence-based sourcing recommendations and negotiations.\nDevelop and maintain an understanding of assigned categories, supplier markets, spend profiles, contract status and future sourcing opportunities.\nAnalyse spend, demand, supplier performance and pricing data to identify cost savings, compliance improvements, sourcing opportunities and operational efficiencies.\nSupport contract and supplier management activities, including supplier onboarding, due diligence, contract administration, renewals, extensions, performance reviews and issue resolution.\nProvide procurement support across the purchase-to-pay lifecycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, receipting, invoice matching, supplier set-up and process support.\nGuide stakeholders on procurement policy, approved suppliers, buying channels, delegated authority requirements and governance obligations.\nMaintain accurate procurement records, sourcing documentation, contract registers, reporting data, approvals and compliance documentation.\nBuild effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, providing commercial advice, coordinating implementation activities and communicating procurement outcomes.\nEnsure compliance with procurement policies, risk management, ethical sourcing, modern slavery, sustainability, privacy, information security and reporting requirements while contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes, templates and tools.\nWhat You'll Bring\nRelevant tertiary qualification or progress toward CIPS/CIPSA or an equivalent procurement qualification (preferred not essential)\n2-5 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, commercial analysis, contract administration or a closely related role. \nExperience in fleet, transport, travel, automotive services or another operationally intensive environment (preferred not essential)\nPractical experience supporting end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFQ or RFP documentation, supplier communications, evaluations and recommendations. \nUnderstanding of category fundamentals and the ability to interpret spend, pricing, volume and supplier data. \nWorking knowledge of purchase-to-pay processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, receipting and invoice resolution. \nExperience engaging suppliers and business stakeholders and managing multiple activities to agreed deadlines. \nSound commercial judgement and the ability to identify and escalate contractual, operational and supplier risks. \nExperience with e-sourcing, contract management, ERP, supplier onboarding or procurement reporting systems as well as exposure to supplier performance management, commercial benchmarking and benefits tracking (preferred not essential). \nStrong written communication, attention to detail, record keeping and document management skills. \nIntermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills, including formulas, pivot tables and clear commercial presentations. \nWhat's in it for you?\nAt SIXT Australia we offer a range of benefits and discounts to help make work and life just right for you!\nKnow You Belong\nWe’re for inclusion, diversity and representing the members, guests, customers and communities we serve.
