We offer a multitude of facilities for the young and young at heart including resort style pools and licenced on-site dining options as well as conference/events/wedding facilities.\n Love cooking great food and want to work somewhere that feels a little different?\nWe are looking for a full-time qualified Chef to join our team at Murramarang Resort. This is a hands-on role working across our food and beverage venues, including our popular Beach Bistro, takeaway outlet, and conference and event operations!\nWhat you’ll do:\nNo two days are the same. You'll work a variety of shifts across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, supporting a busy kitchen operation that caters to resort guests, locals, conferences and weddings. This is a high-volume role, particularly during peak holiday periods and the summer season, when Murramarang becomes a popular destination for travellers and special events. You'll also work within established menu, recipe and food cost frameworks to ensure consistency and quality across all food offerings.\nOn a daily basis your tasks will include, but are not limited to:\nUndertake general and specialised cooking duties to a high standard\nWork within established menu, recipe and food cost frameworks, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance with company standards across all dining venues\nWork across a variety of dining outlets, supporting breakfast, lunch, dinner and event service\nMaintain food quality, consistency and presentation during high-volume service periods\nMonitor the hygiene of food preparation areas, equipment and storage facilities\nAssist with stock control, ordering and minimising food wastage\nSupport conference, event and wedding catering operations\nUnder the direction of the Head Chef, assist with kitchen management, portion control and supervision of junior team members\nMaintain a safe and compliant work environment in line with food safety and WHS requirements\nWhat you’ll bring:\nTrade qualification in Commercial Cookery\nPrevious experience working as a qualified Chef in a busy restaurant, hotel, resort or functions environment\nExperience preparing high-volume meals whilst maintaining quality and consistency\nA sound understanding of modern Australian cuisine and contemporary food trends\nExperience catering for conferences, events or weddings will be highly regarded\nA passion for food, presentation and creating memorable dining experiences\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team\nPossess aDoFoodSafely Certificate of completion\nFlexible attitude to working a 7-day roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays\nWhat’s in it for you?\nAt the NRMA we aren’t just about discounts (although you do get these too).
