Prepare the compliance certificates on loan covenants to banks. \nBanking and Exchange Control Regulatory compliance\nAct as liaison officer by engaging Central Bank for clarification on queries or issues pertaining to regulatory requirement and compliance.\nSupport line manager on Central Bank applications.\nSupport business unit stakeholders in interpreting local exchange control / banking regulations and develop the appropriate process in ensuring compliance to regulatory environment.\nForeign Exchange Management\nWork with business unit to identify, monitor and manage the currency exposures.\nSupport the local commercial team in the preparation of foreign exchange exposure report and hedge proposal\nHedge the FX exposure by entering into approved hedging instrument with financial institutions. Record the hedged contract and perform settlement on contract maturity date.\nReview and post mark to market results at month end in a timely and accurate manner.\nPerform monthly month end revaluation for balance sheet exposures.\nPayment\nManage end to end payment process\nProcess ad hoc payment request in a timely manner.\nManage payment for employees such as employee claims and cash advance.\nWork with cash management bank and IS support team to resolve payment related issues.\nPerform timely payment update to reflect an accurate vendor balance. \nRespond queries raised by vendors and business units in a timely manner.\nManage returned payment advised by bank and follow up with the relevant parties to rectify the issue and re-process payment.\nManage payment exception cases such as lost cheques, unpresented cheques, cheques cancellation etc. \nBank Reconciliation\nEnsure timely posting of treasury and payment related transactions\nPrepare monthly bank reconciliation and identify discrepancies for follow up action.\nPrepare the necessary adjustment transactions to reflect the correct accounting records. \nReporting\nPrepare periodic reports on funding, bank guarantee, letter of credit and cash balances in an accurate and timely manner.\nProvide funding status report on newly established and /or renewed credit facilities\nServices Management\nExecute work in accordance with the service management framework.\nEnsure queries from business units, banks and Corporate Treasury (Headquarter) are attended to and resolved in a timely manner.\nEstablish and maintain good working relationship with business units and relevant stakeholders.\nOthers\nParticipate in internal and external audit and respond to queries in a timely manner.\nManage queries in Accounting Matters For Consideration (AMFC), Directors and Business Risk Management Questionnaire, Stewardship etc.\nContinuous Improvement\nRecommend and implement improvement in relation to treasury and payment process.\nParticipate in project and initiatives across multiple functional areas and regions.\nQualifications, skills and experience required include:\nIdeally a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business\nMinimum 5 years Corporate Treasury working experience or in related field.\nKnowledge in electronic banking system and ERP system\nExternal experience in a shared service or regional treasury environment will be preferred\nStrong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders\nMeticulous and analytical\nA committed and proactive team player, with good interpersonal skills\nSelf-motivated individual requiring limited supervision with passion for excellence\nAbility to recognize issues, identify resolution and escalate problems if necessary.\nAt NS BlueScope our success comes from our people.
