If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a Director Communications ,AI Infrastructure to lead how Nscale tells the story of its AI infrastructure business, to our employees and to the outside world.\nWorking in close partnership with leaders across the AI Infrastructure business, you will develop a deep understanding of its strategy, priorities and major milestones. You will translate that work into clear, credible communications for a wide range of audiences, from engineers and technical press to new employees and business media.\nThe role spans internal and external communications. Internally, you will advise business leaders on how they communicate with their organization, and help the wider company understand what the business is delivering. Externally, you will lead media relations and announcements for the business, including customer, partner and deployment news.\nYou will sit within Nscale's communications team and work closely with colleagues across corporate, internal and executive communications. You will own specific areas outright, contribute to areas your colleagues own, and support the company's needs as they evolve. The scope below is where we expect you to start, not where we expect you to stay. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role.\nWhat You'll Do\nAI Infrastructure Narrative\nPartner with leaders across the AI Infrastructure business to understand its strategy, priorities and key milestones\nDevelop the narrative for Nscale's AI infrastructure business and keep it consistent across internal and external channels\nTranslate complex technical work into clear, credible stories for technical and general audiences\nIdentify the moments worth telling, and plan communications around them\nInternal Communications\nAdvise AI Infrastructure leaders on how they communicate with their organization, including through periods of change\nShare the progress of the AI Infrastructure business with the wider company through Nscale's channels and company programming\nCollaborate with adjacent teams, including our Data Center organization, so that related milestones are communicated in a coordinated way\nHandle sensitive and high-stakes communications with sound judgment and discretion\nExternal Communications\nLead media relations for the AI Infrastructure business across tech, trade and business press, influencers, and new channels\nLead announcements related to the business, including site, customer, partner and deployment news\nBuild relationships with journalists, analysts, influencers who cover AI infrastructure, cloud, data centers and compute\nDevelop press materials, blog posts, social media posts, op-eds, other written content and briefing materials\nPitch interviews and speaking engagements and prepare leaders for these engagements. \nMeasurement & Insight\nTrack the impact of communications and use what you learn to improve\nShare insight from employees, media and the market with business leaders\nWhat We're Looking For\n10 to 15 years of experience in communications, ideally covering both external and internal work\nExperience communicating for an AI infrastructure, cloud, data center, semiconductor or deep-tech business\nStrong technical fluency, with the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams and explain complex infrastructure topics to non-technical audiences\nA track record of securing coverage in technical, trade and tier-1 business media, with reporter relationships to match\nExperience running joint announcements with customers and partners, including the approvals that come with them\nExperience partnering with senior business leaders and advising them on communications\nExceptional writing and editing skills, and the ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences\nA practical, hands-on approach: comfortable building the plan and then doing the work yourself\nStrong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities at pace\nComfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities and a scope that will change as we grow\nNice to have: experience at a hyperscaler, neocloud or GPU cloud provider; experience in a business with physical infrastructure and field-based teams; experience at a company going through or preparing for an IPO; fluency with AI tools in day-to-day communications work.\nOur Commitment\nAt Nscale, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse and equitable workplace.
