This role plays an important part in ensuring our facilities, buildings, grounds, and support areas remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The successful candidate will provide general facility support, perform routine maintenance tasks, manage site services, and contribute to the overall appearance and operation of the site.\nThis position is based full-time at our Glomfjord facility.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nYour mission will be to support the daily operation, upkeep, and presentation of the Glomfjord facility while maintaining a safe and professional environment.\nFacility Maintenance & Site Upkeep\nPerform routine inspections of buildings, offices, welfare facilities, storage areas, and outdoor spaces.\nCarry out basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, changing filters, assembling furniture, replacing signage, and performing minor repairs.\nReport maintenance issues requiring specialist contractors and assist with coordination and follow-up.\nMonitor the condition of doors, gates, fences, walkways, parking areas, and common spaces.\nGrounds & External Area Maintenance\nMaintain outdoor areas to ensure they remain safe, accessible, and presentable.\nSupport seasonal activities including snow removal, gritting, and weather-related site preparations.\nAssist with general grounds maintenance and upkeep around the facility.\nEnsure pedestrian walkways, entrances, and public areas are maintained to a high standard.\nWaste & Recycling Management\nManage waste collection points and recycling stations across the site.\nCoordinate waste collection and disposal activities with external service providers.\nEnsure waste is handled and segregated in accordance with site procedures.\nMonitor waste storage areas and maintain a safe and orderly environment.\nFacility Support Services\nSet up meeting rooms, training facilities, and event spaces when required.\nAssist with furniture moves, equipment deliveries, and internal logistics activities.\nReplenish facility supplies and consumables as required.\nProvide general support for employees, visitors, and contractors regarding facility-related requests.\nContractor & Vendor Support\nAssist with access and coordination for contractors and service providers.\nEscort contractors where required and ensure adherence to site rules.\nSupport maintenance activities by preparing work areas and coordinating site access.\nVerify completed work and report concerns to site management.\nHealth, Safety & Site Standards\nSupport a safe, clean, and well-organized workplace.\nIdentify hazards, defects, or unsafe conditions and report them promptly.\nParticipate in site inspections and contribute to maintaining high housekeeping standards.\nFollow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.\nTraining & Development\nParticipate in site induction programs and safety training.\nDevelop skills across facility operations, maintenance support, and site services.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to facility management and site standards.\nAbout You (Skills / Qualifications)\nExperience\nPrevious experience as a Janitor, Caretaker, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Technician, Property Maintenance Worker, or similar role.\nExperience in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, utility, construction, or technical environments is advantageous.\nPractical Skills\nAbility to carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks.\nComfortable using hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.\nGood practical problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to work.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and work independently.\nPhysical Requirements\nAble to perform physical work involving lifting, carrying, moving equipment, standing, and walking throughout the day.\nComfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nHealth & Safety Awareness\nStrong commitment to workplace safety.\nAbility to identify hazards and maintain high standards of housekeeping and site presentation.\nUnderstanding of safe working practices within an industrial environment is beneficial.\nSoft Skills & Competencies\nReliability & Ownership\nYou are dependable, take pride in your work, and can be relied upon to keep the site operating effectively.\nPractical Mindset\nYou enjoy hands-on work and take a proactive approach to resolving facility-related issues.\nCommunication & Teamwork\nYou work effectively with colleagues, contractors, visitors, and service providers while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.\nAttention to Detail\nYou notice issues before they become larger problems and consistently maintain high standards across the site.\nFlexibility\nYou are willing to support operational needs and adapt to changing priorities when required.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nAt Nscale, you'll find a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where every role contributes to our success.
