If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.\nAbout The Role\n We’re hiring an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our data centre infrastructure.\nThis role sits within Infrastructure Operations and reports to the Infrastructure Operations Manager. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, capacity planning, infrastructure optimisation, and customer support, while also supporting colleagues across other Nscale data centres as needed.\nThis is a high-impact role for someone who combines strong technical depth with sound judgement, organisation, and leadership. You’ll help maintain service availability, support rapid incident response, and drive long-term operational improvements that matter to both our customers and the wider business.\nWhat you'll be doing\nInfrastructure Projects & Operational Delivery\n\nManage infrastructure projects, including installations and upgrades\nSupport deployments and operational tasks across additional data centres as required\nAdapt to customer-driven operational demands, including specialist support outside core business hours\nTravel to other Nscale data centres to assist colleagues and support business needs\nCritical Systems Monitoring & Reliability\n\nMonitor critical systems including power, cooling, and network connectivity\nMaintain data centre infrastructure to support efficiency, reliability, and scalability\nRespond to critical incidents during out-of-business hours when required\nWork shifts and participate in on-call cover as part of operational support\nIncident Management & Customer Support\n\nHandle escalated customer support issues in line with business SLA requirements\nInvestigate major incidents to identify root causes\nRecommend long-term fixes to prevent repeat issues\nProvide specialist technical support when customer needs require extended coverage\nAutomation & Continuous Improvement\n\nDesign automation scripts and tools to optimise operational processes\nImplement automation solutions using relevant tooling and scripting capabilities\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams on capacity planning initiatives\nDrive infrastructure optimisation through practical, scalable improvements\nKPIs\nService availability and reliability\nSLA adherence on escalated customer support issues\nMajor incident root cause analysis and long-term fix implementation\nInfrastructure project delivery for installations and upgrades\nAbout You\n\n4+ years of experience in data centre environments\nExpertise in server administration, virtualization, and networking protocols\nExperience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Python\nHands-on server experience within a tech organisation\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nAdvanced technical certifications\nAbility to make decisions on complex topics in ambiguous, results-driven environments\nConfidence influencing without authority and building relationships with senior stakeholders\nHighly organised, diligent, and able to move work forward independently\nStrong customer service ethic; exposure to large-scale data centre environments is a plus\nWhat we can offer you\nAt Nscale, you'll find a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where your contributions spark real impact.
