Collaboration is key, and we work together swiftly and respectfully, embracing adaptability and resilience in all we do.\nPrincipal Network Engineer - APAC\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nBe a team player to scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for core platform systems used across the company\nDefine and drive multi-quarter platform initiatives that improve delivery velocity, system reliability/quality based on network validations, and evolve the product in partnership with Product Management and Partner Engineering teams\nPartner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to evolve the platform as a product, balancing long-term architecture with near-term business needs\nTake ambiguous, high-impact problem areas (e.g. system scalability, vendor experience, platform abstractions) and turn them into clear execution plans\nDrive alignment across multiple teams working on complex, interdependent systems including internal platforms, infrastructure, and developer tooling\nRaise the bar on engineering quality, operational excellence, and execution across the platform organization\nAbout You\nMasters/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Technology or equivalent\nAt least 10+ years of Network Engineering experience\nExperience in working in a large ISP/Cloud provider environment and in Network operations role\nExperience with overlay Networking will be a plus\nMust be able to travel across APAC up to 50% of the time\nTechnical Experience\nExperience with Infiniband or RoCE networking\nStrong knowledge of protocols such as MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, and DHCP. Also, VxLAN and EVPN will be an added advantage\nExperience with scripting or automation and Data Centre design - Golang and bash preferred, and must demonstrate expertise in scripting or compiled language\nExperience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL, network monitoring, and telemetry solutions\nExperience with network modelling and programming - YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF\nAbility to use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways\nCapable of working under limited supervision\nExcellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills\nExcellent judgment in influencing product roadmap direction, features, and priorities.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation\nIn All We Do, Our Core Values Guide Us\nRelentless Innovation\n At Nscale, we constantly push the boundaries of innovation, embracing creative risks to shape the future.
