You'll set the safety standards, processes, and metrics that every low-voltage project follows, and make sure they are applied consistently across sites and regions as we scale AI data center deployments.\nThe program covers everyone doing low-voltage work for Nscale: our full-time employees, Nscale contract employees, and the installation contractors we hire. You'll own the program for Nscale's own workforce and manage how installation contractors' safety programs meet our standards.\nConfined space entry is a major part of this role. Low-voltage work regularly takes crews into underground vaults, manholes, utility tunnels, duct banks, and other permit-required spaces, and you will make sure everyone who enters them is trained, permitted, monitored, and covered by a rescue plan.\nOur sites run several safety programs at once, including the general contractor's, the site owner's, and Nscale's own. You'll be the low-voltage team's main EHS contact with all of them. This is a program role rather than a site role, but in rare cases you will cover site safety directly when there is a gap in coverage.\nWhat You'll Do\nEHS Program Ownership\nCreate, implement, and manage Nscale's EHS program for Low Voltage, including policies, standards, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.\nDefine program requirements for job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, permits to work, and stop-work authority.\nSet standards for high-risk activities common to low-voltage work, including confined space entry, work at heights, ladders and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), work near energized equipment, lockout/tagout (LOTO), core drilling and dust control, firestopping, fiber optic handling, and material handling of cable reels and trays.\nEnsure the program complies with OSHA (29 CFR 1910 and 1926, including Subpart AA for confined spaces), NFPA 70E, state requirements, and site owner and customer rules.\nTraining & Safety Culture\nBuild and deliver the low-voltage safety training program for Nscale full-time employees, contract employees, and installation contractors.\nConfined space entry: train and verify competency for entrants, attendants, and entry supervisors before any entry, covering permits, atmospheric testing and continuous monitoring, ventilation, isolation, and communication.\nConfined space entry: ensure every entry has a written rescue plan, with rescue services that are trained, available, and able to respond in time, and audit entries in the field.\nDevelop and deliver training on program standards, hazard recognition, and other high-risk work.\nMaintain training and competency records for all low-voltage personnel.\nBuild a strong reporting culture where near misses and hazards are raised early and stop-work authority is used without hesitation.\nWorkforce & Contractor Safety Management\nManage safety for Nscale full-time and contract employees, including onboarding, PPE, required certifications, and fitness for high-risk tasks.\nReview and approve installation contractors' safety programs, safety plans, and training records before mobilization.\nOwn contractor safety prequalification and onboarding requirements, working with Procurement and project managers.\nTrack contractor safety performance and drive corrective actions or escalation when expectations are not met.\nSite Safety Program Integration\nServe as the low-voltage team's EHS point of contact with the general contractor, site owner, and other trade safety programs on each site.\nAlign low-voltage safety plans with the general contractor's site-specific safety plan, permit systems (confined space, hot work, LOTO, energized work), and orientation requirements.\nAttend general contractor safety meetings and bring site-wide requirements back to low-voltage crews and contractors.\nWrite bridging documents where Nscale, general contractor, and owner requirements differ, so crews know which rule applies.\nProvide on-site safety coverage in rare cases when there is a gap in site coverage.\nField Assurance & Incident Management\nConduct and coordinate site safety inspections, audits, and leadership safety walks across active projects.\nLead or support incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).\nMake sure incidents, near misses, and observations are reported through every program that requires them.\nManage OSHA recordkeeping and injury case management for the program in partnership with HR and site teams.\nShare lessons learned and safety alerts across projects so issues found at one site are prevented at the next.\nMetrics, Reporting & Environmental\nTrack and report leading and lagging indicators, including TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting, inspection findings, and corrective action closure.\nProvide clear monthly and quarterly EHS reporting to Low Voltage leadership.\nPartner with project teams on environmental requirements, including waste segregation, packaging and cable scrap recycling, and e-waste handling.\nHelp select and standardize EHS tools for inspections, observations, incident reporting, and contractor management.\nWho Thrives in This Role\nProgram builders. You create standards and processes that work consistently across many sites, not just one.\nField-credible leaders. You are credible on site and comfortable coaching crews, foremen, and contractor leaders.\n You make safety practical, so it supports schedule instead of fighting it.\nFirm and fair. You hold people to the standard, respectfully and consistently.\n Data-driven. You use metrics and trends to find risk before it becomes an incident.\nRequirements\n7+ years of EHS experience, including 3+ years in construction, data center, mission-critical, telecom, or electrical/low-voltage environments.\nExperience creating and managing a multi-site EHS program covering employees, contract employees, and subcontractors.\nStrong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926, NFPA 70E, and construction safety best practices.\nHands-on experience running or overseeing a permit-required confined space program, including atmospheric monitoring, entry permits, and rescue planning.\nExperience working within multi-employer construction sites and coordinating with general contractor and owner safety programs.\nProven experience with contractor safety management, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and OSHA recordkeeping.\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (OSHA 500/510 trainer authorization a plus).\nAbility to develop and deliver effective training to field crews and leadership.\nExcellent communication skills and the confidence to influence contractors, project teams, and senior stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent professional safety certification.\nConfined space entry trainer, competent person, or rescue certification.\nExperience on hyperscale, cloud, HPC, or AI infrastructure deployments.\nFamiliarity with contractor prequalification platforms (e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta) and EHS management software.\nExperience with ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 management systems.\nReports to: Senior Director of Operations, Low Voltage\nLocation: Remote - United States\nTravel: Approximately 40-50% - based on site audits, project kickoffs, incident response, and contractor oversight\nThe range below reflects the base salary for the position. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as skill set, experience, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs. Nscale may offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and retirement plan participation.\nSalary Range\n$75,000—$95,000 USD\nFor information on how Nscale handles candidate personal data, please see our Employee & Candidate Privacy Notice: Here.\nNscale does not accept unsolicited candidate submissions from recruitment agencies.","description_format":"text","description_chars":8115,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Parental leave","Retirement plans"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Data Centers & Colocation","AI Compute & Inference"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-14T20:40:19Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":8,"expected_fill_days":63,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-23T05:54:15Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":95000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/nscale-programmatic-ehs-manager-low-voltage-deployment","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/nscale-programmatic-ehs-manager-low-voltage-deployment.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-24T05:42:13Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":8130,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-25T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":48155},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=48155"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fnscale-programmatic-ehs-manager-low-voltage-deployment"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fnscale-programmatic-ehs-manager-low-voltage-deployment"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fnscale-programmatic-ehs-manager-low-voltage-deployment"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/nscale-programmatic-ehs-manager-low-voltage-deployment\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fnscale-programmatic-ehs-manager-low-voltage-deployment"}]}
