As our global data center portfolio continues to expand, physical security is a critical part of protecting our people, facilities, technology, and customers.\nWe are looking for an experienced Regional Security Manager - APAC to lead physical security across the Asia-Pacific region and help establish a consistent, scalable security program across Nscale’s growing portfolio.\nThe Role\nThe Regional Security Manager will provide regional leadership for Nscale’s physical and data center security program across APAC. Based in Singapore, this role will work closely with Global Security leadership, Data Center Operations, Engineering, Construction, Cyber Security, Legal, Compliance, and external security providers.\nThe role will be responsible for ensuring Nscale’s global physical security standards are consistently implemented across APAC data centers, construction projects, colocation facilities, and corporate locations.\nThis is a hands-on regional leadership role requiring strong operational judgment, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive security improvements across multiple sites and countries.\nKey Responsibilities\nRegional Security Leadership\nLead Nscale’s physical security program across APAC.\nServe as the regional security point of contact for data center and corporate security matters.\nDevelop strong relationships with Data Center Operations, Engineering, Construction, Cyber Security, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership.\nProvide regular reporting on regional security posture, risks, incidents, and remediation.\nData Center & Colocation Security\nProvide security oversight across APAC data centers and colocation facilities.\nEnsure sites meet Nscale’s Global Security Basis of Design, physical security standards, and minimum security requirements.\nAssess provider-operated security environments and identify gaps in access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, guard services, and incident response.\nSupport the development and implementation of contractual security requirements and service-level expectations with colocation providers.\nNew Construction & Expansion\nPartner with Construction and Engineering teams from site selection and design through commissioning and operational handover.\nEnsure physical security requirements are incorporated into new APAC data center projects.\nConduct security risk assessments, design reviews, site inspections, and commissioning activities.\nSupport construction security programs and ensure appropriate security controls are in place throughout the build lifecycle.\nSecurity Operations & Incident Management\nEstablish and maintain regional security response and escalation procedures.\nCoordinate with Nscale’s global SOC/GSOC and local security providers on monitoring, alarm response, incidents, and escalation.\nLead or support response to significant security incidents across the region.\nEnsure incidents are properly documented, investigated, and followed through to remediation.\nRisk, Assurance & Compliance\nConduct physical security assessments and risk reviews across APAC sites.\nIdentify control gaps and drive remediation with site and business owners.\nSupport global security assurance programs, audits, and compliance requirements.\nMaintain visibility of regional security risks and provide recommendations to Global Security leadership.\nStandards & Continuous Improvement\nImplement Nscale’s global physical security policies, standards, and technical requirements across APAC.\nIdentify regional requirements or challenges that may require adaptation while maintaining global standards.\nDrive continuous improvement in security technology, processes, procedures, and vendor performance.\nSupport the development of a consistent global physical security operating model.\nQualifications & Experience\n8+ years of experience in physical security, corporate security, data center security, critical infrastructure, or a related field.\nExperience leading security programs across multiple sites and/or countries.\nExperience in data center, technology, critical infrastructure, or similarly security-sensitive environments strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated experience managing security vendors, contract security personnel, and service providers.\nExperience with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, security operations, and physical security technology.\nExperience supporting construction and commissioning of large-scale facilities is highly desirable.\nStrong understanding of security risk assessment, incident management, and security standards.\nExperience working across multinational organizations and diverse cultures.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.\nAbility to travel regularly across APAC.\nLeadership Attributes\nWe are looking for someone who:\nTakes ownership and have:\nEstablished a consistent physical security operating model across APAC.\nCompleted baseline security assessments across the regional portfolio.\nIdentified and driven remediation of significant security gaps.\nEstablished strong working relationships with regional Data Center Operations, Engineering, Construction, Cyber, Legal, and Compliance teams.\nImproved security oversight and accountability across colocation providers.\nEmbedded Nscale’s global security standards into APAC projects and operations.\nEstablished effective regional incident response and escalation processes
