If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.\nAbout the Role\nWe're looking for a Staff Network Engineer to build and bring up the networks behind Nscale's GPU clusters across Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, you'll join our Deployment organisation, a build org that owns every step from hardware arrival on site through to customer acceptance.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role at an early stage of our APAC expansion. You'll take network designs into production: configuring and validating cluster fabrics, front-end networks, and WAN edge, troubleshooting issues during bring-up, and making sure every build is ready for customers. You'll work closely with colleagues in Europe and the US, so some flexibility across time zones is part of the job. The role involves regular travel to sites and partners across the region.\nWhat You'll be Doing\nDeploy, configure, and validate high-performance Ethernet and InfiniBand fabrics for large GPU clusters at our APAC sites.\nBring up front-end, storage, and management networks and WAN edge connectivity for new sites and expansions in the region.\nWork with carriers, colocation providers, and IXPs across APAC to deliver circuits, cross-connects, and peering.\nRun network acceptance testing and performance validation ahead of customer handover.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across routing, switching, optics, and cabling during build and early life.\nApply Nscale's global reference designs and build standards, and feed back what you learn in the field to Network Architecture.\nBuild and improve automation for provisioning, configuration, and validation.\nPartner with Technical Program Managers, Data Centre Operations, and vendors to keep builds on schedule.\nWrite clear runbooks and documentation so builds are repeatable across sites and regions.\nAbout You\n8+ years of network engineering experience in large-scale data centre, cloud, or HPC environments.\nExperience at a hyperscaler or major network vendor (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Oracle/OCI, Cisco) or a comparable large-scale network.\nStrong hands-on knowledge of routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, ECMP, and L2/L3 data centre design.\nExperience deploying and operating cluster networks, ideally including InfiniBand or RoCE fabrics.\nFamiliarity with the APAC data centre and carrier landscape, including working with regional providers.\nPractical experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, or similar).\nCalm, methodical troubleshooter who can work under deadline pressure on live builds.\nWillingness to travel across Asia-Pacific as needed.\nNice to Have\nExperience building networks for GPU clusters or AI training environments.\nFamiliarity with HPC topologies (Fat Tree, Rail) and 400G/800G optics.\nExperience with SONiC, Cumulus, or other open networking platforms.\nWAN, subsea or long-haul fibre, peering, or DWDM experience.\nExperience standing up infrastructure in a new region or market.\nIndustry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or NVIDIA networking certifications.\nWhy this role matters\nThe network is what turns thousands of GPUs into a single system.
