This position will support instruction for Northcentral Technical College’s (NTC) CODA-Accredited Dental Therapy program. This position will supervise and teach Dental Therapy students in NTC’s on-site dental clinic through clinical enrichment experiences while staying familiar with the program's objectives, content, instructional methods, and evaluation procedures.\nPlease Note: This is an in-person position located on campus in Wausau, Wisconsin.\nAdjunct Application Information:\nPart-time Instructors are hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee being assigned the following semester. The teaching hours for a part-time instructor vary and can include day, evening, and weekend classes. Adjunct faculty can teach a maximum of 12 student contact hours per week averaged over the semester.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nThe following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation.\nTeaching:\nFacilitate learning through classroom activities, distance learning experiences, out-of-classroom activities, and the mentoring of students and peers.\nAssess and evaluate student performance in alignment with the College assessment plan in a timely manner.\nConduct assigned classes for the scheduled length of time.\nMaintain accurate student records, including grades, attendance, and clinical evaluations, and ensure compliance with relevant privacy laws.\nFurnish written evaluations as requested by students.\nMaintain course outcome summaries, learning plans, Performance Assessment Tasks (PATs), syllabi, and online Learning Management System template in the approved College format and time parameter.\nActively select and use appropriate learning materials and resources including textbooks, library resources, equipment, and supplies to enhance learning.\nAssist in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating a new or modified course/certificate/program. Stay current and focused on learner needs.\nKeep professionally up-to-date in area of content expertise and in the teaching profession.\nActively support diverse learners.\nMaintain professional certifications, licensures, and requirements.\nMaintain documentation as required by accreditation, program, or clinical sites.\nAssist, participate, support, and carry out the duties as assigned.\nCollege Support Duties:\nSubmit final grades by the scheduled due date identified on the academic calendar.\nPost and maintain office hours.\nCoordinate instructional support services to meet individual student accommodation and modification needs.\nUtilize and engage in professional day activities and team time as designated.\nParticipate in institutional, advisory and program team and committee meetings.\nAttend the College’s in-service sessions, commencements, and other activities as directed.\nAssist in student recruitment and Student Services activities.\nAttend College Open Houses (on-campus and off-campus, set-up and take down) to assist with student recruitment.\nMinimum Qualifications Required\nIn limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.\nEducation: DDS required\nExperience: 2 Years\nAdditional Experience Information:\nOccupational instructors must have a minimum of two years (4,000 hours) full-time or equivalent demonstrated relevant occupational experience, one of which must be within the last five years.\nMay waive the occupational experience of one year within the last five years if the candidate has two years post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the last five years.\nUpon employment and throughout employment, must meet and continue to meet the WTCS and Higher Learning Commissions requirements, accreditation standards, and/or licensing standards, where applicable.\nExperience in teaching and working with diverse populations preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nIn order to perform the functions and responsibilities of the position (listed above) the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, including language skills, reasoning and mathematical abilities are essential.\nLanguage Skills:\nAbility to read, write, analyze and interpret complex documents;
