Asan integral part of the Transportation Insight sales process,the Solutions Engineer will be a hands-on leader.\nThis role is responsible forsupporting the deal cyclewith an emphasis on strategic thought, business acumen, creative problem-solving, flexibility, and sound judgment. The Solutions Engineer will collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders, senior-level team members and prospective clients to design a solution that meets client-stated needs/requirements, can be operatedby the organization, and that is profitable.\nThe individual in this role brings demonstrated skills in consultative selling, supply chain management, TMS system implementation, project management and is able to apply these skills effectively across functional departments.They are able to price complex multi-mode service solutions and provide key inputs for the production, demonstration and presentation of documents to prospective clients.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAbility to effectively communicate the value and differentiators of Transportation Insight as a logisticspartner, as well as our core competencies of services across all modes\n\nGather client requirements and understand the key drivers for delivering value-based supply chain improvements.\n\nAssess a validated prospects’ current supply chain program by documenting current state.\n\nCoordinate the assessment process for assigned validated prospects. Hold the internal organization accountable for meeting assigned timelines.\n\nUnderstand the client's systems/applications used in current state, overall objectivesand requirements to propose the best solution for their needs.\n\nWork with a cross-functional delivery team to develop a solutions strategy and operational framework.\n\nParticipate in the solution design process by facilitatingprospect strategy meetings and coordinating internal resources.\n\nDocument the future solution to help with the production of presentations and other documentation as needed\n\nHelp create pricing strategies for Transportation Insight service offerings that are both competitive and attractive to prospective clients.\n\nAssistsales personnel, as needed, in demonstratingtechnology platforms that lead to closureofnew business.\n\nEffectively communicate with prospects and clients at the necessary pace, utilizingphone, web and on site as appropriate.\n\nCollect information on client's unfulfilled needs and potential service improvements and report with recommendations to Solutions leadership\n\nAssess from continuousimprovement standpoint the standard approach for the transitioning of clients from the sales organization to implementation/account management teams.\n\nSupport ongoing improvement efforts by documenting best practices.\n\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nBS degree in business or related field. MBA is preferred and requiredif Bachelor’sdegree is not in business or related field.\n\nExperienced logisticsprofessional with 5+ (five)years of experience in Supply Chain management related fields.\n\nMinimum 4(four) years of complex, consultative, solutions experience is required.\n\nDirect consulting experience of transportation, logistics, and/ or TMS at the C-Suite decision-making level\n\nSUPPORTING SKILLS/ABILITIES\nProven success in consistently driving revenue-generating solutionswith tangible results.\n\nAdvanced experience working with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio).\n\nLEAN / Six Sigma Certification or Experience a plus.\n\nDetailed oriented, self-starter with a strong work ethic.\n\nDisplaying leadership at the contributor level\n\nContinuous learner & diligence in development of individual growth goals\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects at any given time and be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.\n\nStrong collaborator in working with internal operations teams in solution development stages\n\nPossess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility toadapt to change under stress and within tight deadlines.\n\nEffective problem solver, able to identifyand resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, & develop alternative solutions when necessary.\n\nStrong technical skills, including project planning, presentation, and general business applications.\n\nExceptional communication skills (both written and oral)\n\nAbility to operateunder minimal supervision and time constraints.\n\n**MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED**\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nStandard office environment, usually indoors away from the elements with moderate noise.
