Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion - it’s a place where you can grow, belong and thrive.\nYour day at NTT DATA\nThe Senior Associate Software Applications Development Engineer is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for developing new applications and improving upon existing applications based on the needs of the internal organization and / or external clients.What you'll be doing\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelops applications that effectively accomplish client objectives and user needs.\nDesigns and writes code for applications and maintain applications databases.\nAnalyzes and edits existing software applications to improve and optimize functionality, fix problems, and enable their use on new hardware platforms.\nRemodels and adapts applications as needed to optimize performance.\nIdentifies specific client needs and preferences related to the application.\nTests applications extensively to ensure they are error and bug-free.\nInstalls applications and acts as technical advisor.\nCommunicates with relevant internal technical stakeholders to obtain information on project limitations, performance requirements, and interfaces.\nConsults with clients in the design phase to determine client needs.\nProduces software documentation following company software process and templates.\nParticipates in software product review meetings and team meetings.\nPerforms any other related tasks as required.\n Knowledge and Attributes:\nDeveloping understanding of computer science, with specific knowledge of computer programming, application design, and user-focused features.\nGood team player who maintains the integrity of the team.\nExcellent attention to detail capabilities.\nAbility to understand and analyze systems.\nProficiency in writing software using the Java Programming Language and a standard object library.\nKnowledge of software development process.\nProficiency with agile development such as Scrum.\nKnowledge of software integrated development environments.\nKnowledge in various programming languages such as (but not limited to) Java, Perl, Python, C++.\nDemonstrated analytical, organizational, and project management skills, using relevant information to make timely and critical decisions that affect cross-functional teams.\nAbility to handle client and customer issues tactfully and professionally.\n Academic Qualifications and Certifications:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering or related field.\nCertification in various programming languages, for example (but not limited to) Java, Perl, Python, C++ preferred.\nScrum / Project Management certification preferred.\nRequired Experience:\nModerate level Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience\nModerate level experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\nModerate level experienced with Linux or Unix and Windows operating systems\nModerate level experience working with SQL\nModerate level project management experience and/or experience working in an Agile environment\nWorkplace type:\nOn-site WorkingAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
