The engineer will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and service enhancement projects while escalating complex issues to senior engineers where required.\nThe primary objective of this role is to maintain service availability, meet SLA commitments, and provide excellent customer experience through efficient incident resolution and operational support\nKey Responsibilities\nOperational Support\nMonitor and maintain client infrastructure across multiple technology domains.\nPerform daily operational checks and respond to alerts generated from monitoring platforms.\nInvestigate and resolve incidents within agreed service levels.\nEscalate complex incidents to L3 engineers where required.\nEnsure all incidents, service requests, and changes are accurately documented within service management systems.\nParticipate in root cause investigations and post-incident reviews.\nProvide regular updates to customers and stakeholders regarding incident progress.\nAzure & Cloud Operations\nSupport Microsoft Azure environments including: Virtual Machines, Azure Update Manager, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Identity, and Access Management\nDeploy and maintain Azure resources following established standards.\nAssist with cloud platform optimisation and governance initiatives.\nSupport patching, compliance, monitoring, and reporting activities.\nDevOps & Automation\nSupport Azure DevOps repositories, pipelines, and deployment processes.\nAssist in maintaining and optimising CI/CD pipelines.\nContribute to Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using: ARM Templates Bicep Terraform\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts for operational tasks.\nSupport automation initiatives for: Provisioning Monitoring Patching Reporting Compliance activities\nVirtualisation & Infrastructure\nProvision and maintain virtual machines.\nTroubleshoot performance and availability issues.\nAssist with backup, recovery, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure maintenance activities.\nDocumentation & Continuous Improvement\nCreate and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational processes and reduce manual effort.\nContribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.\nShare knowledge within the team and participate in technical discussions.\nProject Support\nParticipate in infrastructure projects and customer onboarding activities.\nSupport implementation and migration activities.\nAssist senior engineers during project delivery.\nKnowledge, Skills & Attributes\nTechnical Skills\nGood understanding of Microsoft Azure services and administration.\nKnowledge of Azure DevOps practices and tooling.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment pipelines.\nExperience with infrastructure automation and scripting.\nStrong PowerShell scripting capability.\nBasic knowledge of Terraform, ARM, or Bicep deployments.\nExperience supporting virtualized environments.\nWorking knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.\nUnderstanding of monitoring and alerting solutions.\nKnowledge of backup and disaster recovery concepts.\nSoft Skills\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with customers and technical teams.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.\nStrong customer-focused approach.\nExcellent documentation skills.\nWillingness to learn and develop new technical skills.\nAbility to work within a team environment.\nAcademic Qualifications & Certifications\nRequired\nDiploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.\nMicrosoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent experience.\nITIL Foundation certification or equivalent operational experience.\nPreferred\nMicrosoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)\nMicrosoft DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)\nAny cloud, infrastructure, or virtualisation-related certifications\nRequired Experience\nEssential\n3-5 years experience in a Managed Services, Infrastructure, Cloud, or Operations role.\nExperience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.\nExperience supporting enterprise Virtual Machine platforms.\nExperience working within SLA-driven support environments.\nExperience using ITSM platforms and adhering to ITIL processes.\nExperience with PowerShell scripting and automation.\nExperience with monitoring and incident management.\nPreferred\nExperience supporting large enterprise Azure environments.\nExperience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).\nExposure to automation, compliance reporting, and operational optimisation initiatives.\nWorkplace type:\nHybrid WorkingAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30+ billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune\nGlobal 100.
