configuration, and delivery of public cloud infrastructure and services, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure.\nThe role works closely with clients, architects, project teams, security teams, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and well-governed cloud solutions.\nExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is advantageous.\nThe Cloud Engineer is expected to take technical ownership of assigned cloud technologies, contribute to solution design, troubleshoot complex technical issues, produce technical documentation, and provide guidance to junior engineers.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEngage with clients to gather requirements and deliver public cloud solutions.\nImplement, configure and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.\nSupport cloud migration, hybrid connectivity and workload transition activities.\nImplement cloud networking, identity, security, governance and monitoring solutions.\nBuild and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or Bicep.\nDevelop automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar tools.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines and Git-based infrastructure deployments.\nUtilize AI-assisted tools to improve implementation efficiency, troubleshooting, documentation and automation.\nApply AI capabilities to support tasks such as code generation, configuration validation, log analysis, incident investigation and technical knowledge retrieval.\nEvaluate and adopt appropriate AI-driven capabilities within cloud delivery while ensuring security, compliance and data protection requirements are followed.\nTroubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, connectivity, identity and security issues.\nContribute technical input to cloud solution design and implementation planning.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, including implementation plans, runbooks and as-built documents.\nConduct technical handover and knowledge transfer to clients and support teams.\nProvide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.\nTake ownership of assigned cloud technologies and maintain relevant technical skills.\nSupport AWS and GCP environments where required.\nKnowledge and Attributes:\nStrong understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud architecture principles.\nGood knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security and governance.\nGood understanding of Infrastructure as Code, automation and DevOps practices.\nKnowledge of hybrid cloud and enterprise cloud environments.\nUnderstanding of how AI and generative AI tools can be applied safely and effectively within cloud engineering and delivery activities.\nAbility to use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, problem solving, automation and technical documentation.\nAwareness of AI-related security, privacy, governance and responsible usage considerations.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nGood technical documentation and report-writing skills.\nExcellent customer engagement and communication skills.\nClient-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving.\nAbility to work independently and within project teams.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.\nAbility to coach and provide technical guidance to junior team members.\nAWS and GCP knowledge is advantageous.\nAcademic Qualification and Certifications:\nBachelor's degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.\nRelevant Microsoft Azure certification is preferred, such as:Azure Administrator Associate\nAzure Solutions Architect Expert\nAzure Network Engineer Associate\nAzure Security Engineer Associate\nAzure DevOps Engineer Expert\n\nTerraform certification or relevant Infrastructure as Code experience is advantageous.\nMicrosoft Azure AI Fundamentals, Azure AI Engineer or other relevant AI/cloud certifications are advantageous.\nAWS or Google Cloud certifications are advantageous.\nAdditional certifications in networking, security, Kubernetes, DevOps or ITIL are advantageous.\nCertifications relevant to the services delivered will carry additional weight.\nRequired experience:\nSeasoned hands-on experience implementing and delivering Microsoft Azure solutions.\nExperience with Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring and governance services.\nExperience with cloud migration and hybrid cloud environments.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.\nExperience with automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar scripting tools.\nExperience with Git and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.\nExperience using AI-assisted engineering tools to support cloud implementation, troubleshooting, automation, scripting or documentation is advantageous.\nExperience applying AI tools to improve delivery productivity, technical analysis or operational efficiency is advantageous.\nExperience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and networking issues.\nExperience producing technical implementation and operational documentation.\nExperience engaging with clients and participating in technical workshops or project activities.\nExperience working within structured implementation or project delivery environments.\nAWS and/or GCP implementation experience is advantageous.\nExperience with Kubernetes, cloud security, FinOps, AI services or multi-cloud environments is advantageous.\nWorkplace
