Experience a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace where your ideas are valued, and your growth is supported.\nYour role at a glance\nTeam Lead, Facilities Security is supervises daily security operations and Security Officers within a data centre environment, including workforce scheduling, recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management. Ensures compliance with security policies, safety regulations, client-specific requirements, and physical security standards. Monitors access control, CCTV, surveillance systems, shipping and receiving activities, and security equipment. Acts as the first point of contact for security incidents, supporting investigations, evidence gathering, reporting, and emergency response. Maintains accurate records, inventories, and client reports while identifying operational improvements. Requires strong communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills, with relevant security experience and knowledge of physical security systems. High School qualification is required; relevant certifications are advantageous.What we are looking for\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:\nSupervises daily operations for a team of Security Officers; includes regular duties such as planning, scheduling, submitting timesheets, organising, and directing execution of routine and special project work delegated by Security leadership.\nAids in identifying and attracting prime talent by participating in the recruitment process, assessing qualifications, interviewing candidates, and hiring individuals to join the team.\nContributes and supports the development, implementation, and enforcement of security protocols, policies, and procedures to protect the data centre, assets, and personnel.\nCoaches and guides Security teams by modelling professional conduct and adhering to security policies and safety regulations at the assigned work sites\nGuides team members on how to fulfil the special / unique requirements for NTT GDC clients, and ensures requirements are met; includes maintaining a positive and professional demeanour, proper engagement, and establishing client relationships.\nRemains alert and monitors security operations at all times during shift to ensure data centre and surrounding property is secure and not accessed by unauthorized personnel, or open to sabotage, vandalism or theft.\nManages compliance, security, and records integrity by shift and data centre for client shipping and logistics by performing regular audits and supporting Shipping and Receiving personnel.\nCoordinates Security vendor onboarding indoctrination training in partnership with Deployment Services and Critical Facilities Operations.\nActs as the first point of contact during security incidents, assist with investigations, gather evidence, and prepare incident reports. This also includes collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve incidents effectively.\nAdministers the operation of all security related systems on shift, such as access control, CCTV, digital video recording, photo badging, etc.\nReviews utilisation and maintenance of security equipment.\nPrepares and reviews periodic security reports to clients and internal leadership.\nOrganises and conducts predefined actions in emergency situations and renders first aid, in events ranging from fire, work accidents, to illness.\nExecutes documented procedures and policies to ensure achievement of key responsibilities.\nManages the procurement of essential equipment spares and office supplies for designated staff and shift; this includes maintaining inventory levels and resources are readily available to support the team’s effective performance and daily operations.\nRecommends improvements to recordkeeping software to capture accurate security officer activities.\nEnsures all Security Guards on shift meet all NTT GDC Grooming and Uniform Standards.\nPerforms other duties as assigned, and regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.\nKnowledge, Skills and Attributes:\nFamiliarity with security management, preferably in a data centre or critical infrastructure environment\nKnowledge of physical security systems, access control, surveillance technologies, and incident response procedures\nRecognition of leadership skills with the ability to learn to motivate and manage a team effectively\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities\nGood communicator, with ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels\nFunctional in stressful situations, remaining calm while making critical decisions\nAble to navigate security technologies and computer systems, including access control systems, CCTV, and incident management software\nFamiliar with occupational hazards and safety rules\nAcademic Qualifications and Certifications:\nHigh School or GED required\nPost school qualification, or equivalent combination of work experience and occupational training / certifications\nCertifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are preferred\nCPR/First Aid Certification preferred\nRequired Experience:\nPrior Law-Enforcement and/or Military Schooling, a plus\nPrior relevant experience in law enforcement, industrial, commercial, or governmental security and loss prevention\nPrior relevant experience using security systems and tools, for example access control systems, CCTV etc.\nDeveloping experience in managing a team of Security Guards\nWho we are\nAs the third largest data center provider, we operate over 150 data centers in more than 20 countries and regions.
