Your vigilance and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining a secure environment for the NTT Data Center customer and the infrastructure.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nEnsures that all employees, clients, vendors, and visitors on company property have proper company-issued identification.\nPatrols assigned post on foot to maintain visibility and observes possible unusual activity.\nEnsures that the client, its associates, and NTT Data Center personnel are provided with a safe and professional work environment.\nMonitor and maintain security technologies, including CCTV systems, and access control systems.\nInvestigates, addresses, and reports security, maintenance, and safety conditions.\nEnsures daily administrative documentation is always concise and complete. This includes but not limited to, Shift Activity Reports, Incident Reports, Shift Passdown Logs, and other related written documentation.\nAdherence to NTT Data policy and security procedure manuals, in addition to Company policies.\nAssist personnel with security related requests.\nCompletes assignments, related to access control audits, combustible audits, badge discrepancy audits, as directed by supervisory/management staff.\nAssists with Shipping and Receiving tasks as necessary. This includes accepting, logging, and tracking shipments during times when the primary S&R Officer is not on-site or otherwise unavailable.\nResponds to all site emergencies and coordinates with local emergency services.\nInvestigates and reports fires, evacuations, hazardous situations/other facility-related events.\nMaintains familiarity with Security procedures and policies in addition to Company policies.\nThoroughly investigates all security-related accidents/incidents, interviews witnesses, complaints, and victims.\nGuide personnel on security processes and protocols to ensure compliance.\nRegular and predictable attendance is essential.\nPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nExperience with standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment for the security team.\nStrong observation and surveillance skills, with the ability to detect and respond to security threats effectively.\nKnowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.\nAbility to remain calm in an emergency.\nExcellent customer service in a client-facing environment.\nExcellent ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal methods with clients, vendors, and co-workers.\nAbility to operate in a rigorous process-driven team environment.\nAbility to logically analyze and solve problems.\nAbility to multi-task.\nStrong organizational skills.\nAbility to work with a flexible schedule as required.\nStrong Team Player.\nAbility to follow instructions, adhere to security procedures, and work effectively in a team environment.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School diploma or GED required.\nAdditional education or training in security-related fields is a plus.\nAt least (1) year in a security role, or equivalent combination of education and professional background.\nPrior experience in a Data Center or similar environment is a plus.\nPrior experience in the administration and operation of access control systems, CCTV systems with digital recording, and photo ID systems, and Microsoft Office applications.\nDemonstrated integrity, honesty, and reliability in fulfilling security responsibilities.\nAs a condition of employment, you are required to possess active certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO) as mandated by state regulations, to be obtained within six months of commencing employment and maintained throughout your tenure as a mandatory requirement.\nPhysical Requirements\nPrimarily walking, standing, and bending with some sitting.\nRequires the ability to bend, reach and stand for extended periods.\nAble to expertly hear, speak, and utilize a telephone and walkie-talkie.\nAbility to communicate effectively with verbal, visual, and listening skills.\nClose visual work on a computer terminal.\nDexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.\nAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders.\nWork Conditions and Other Requirements\nData Center environment, including outside perimeter and grounds.\nExposure to all types of weather conditions.\nExposure to unpleasant fumes and odors.\nData Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises.\nPotential extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.\nMust work on-site, no telecommuting.\nMust follow PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines as determined for the position.\nMust wear NTT security uniform and adhere to NTT’s Dress Code and Personal Standards.\nMust be comfortable working in a highly critical, highly confidential, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.\nMust be able to respond to emergencies at the Data Center.\nMust be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, and holidays, and be part of on-call protocol.\nMust participate in some capacity in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program-use smart mobile device with cellular connectivity capable of downloading active applications.\nA valid driver's license is required as employees will need to support tasks in nearby buildings and utilize company vehicles to complete assignments.\nMust be able to pass a background check and drug test.\nCPR/First Aid Certification preferred or can be obtained working for NTT.\nMust posses or become forklift certified. NTT will provide initial and ongoing certification training.\nCompensation Pay Range\nFor roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements. For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process.\nThis is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity.
