This role requires strong hands-on experience with configuration management, infrastructure automation, CI/CD integration, and multi-environment orchestration across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid platforms. The engineer will collaborate closely with Cloud, Security, and App-Dev teams to deliver scalable, secure, and repeatable automation frameworks aligned with organizational standards.\nAutomation & Configuration Management\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and inventories.\nImplement automation for OS hardening, patching, provisioning, and application deployment.\nManage Ansible Tower/AWX for RBAC, workflows, job templates, and credential management.\nStandardize automation patterns across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod).\nInfrastructure & Deployment\nAutomate provisioning across Linux/Windows servers, VMware, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure).\nIntegrate Ansible with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).\nBuild reusable automation modules and enforce coding standards.\nCollaboration & Governance\nWork with Cloud, Security, and App-Dev teams to align automation with architecture and compliance requirements.\nDocument automation frameworks, SOPs, and incident RCA reports.\nImplement governance for secrets, credentials, and secure automation execution.\nMonitoring & Optimization\nTroubleshoot automation failures, performance bottlenecks, and idempotency issues.\nOptimize playbooks for speed, reliability, and maintainability.\nImplement logging, auditing, and reporting for automation workflows.\nAnsible & Automation\nExpert-level proficiency in Ansible, YAML, Jinja2 templating, and Ansible Collections.\nStrong experience with Ansible Tower/AWX (RBAC, workflows, job templates, credentials).\nDeep understanding of idempotency, handlers, variables, vault, and dynamic inventories.\nScripting & DevOps\nStrong Python and Bash scripting for automation and integrations.\nExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI).\nFamiliarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud automation.\nSystems & Networking\nStrong Linux administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers).\nExperience automating network devices (Cisco, F5, Palo Alto) is a plus.\nSecurity & Compliance\nExperience with Ansible Vault, secrets management, and secure credential handling.\nKnowledge of OS hardening, CIS benchmarks, and compliance automation.\nNon-Technical Requirements\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nExcellent communication and cross-team collaboration.\nAbility to translate automation requirements into technical solutions.\nHigh adaptability and eagerness to stay current with evolving automation technologies.\nPreferred Certificates\nRed Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)\nRHCE now heavily focuses on Ansible automation.\nRed Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation\nRed Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) (baseline)\nHashiCorp Terraform Associate (common pairing)\nLinux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)\nStrong ownership, accountability, and teamwork mindset.\nAbility to lead small automation initiatives and mentor junior engineers.\nProactive in improving processes and driving automation adoption.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
