The team comprises enthusiastic professionals working in an international environment, dedicated to learning new technologies and fundamentally changing how Deutsche Bank operates.\nWe are looking for a talented and passionate Backend Engineer to join our client's AVP team.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nImplement highly scalable, secure, and resilient backend solutions using Java 17+ and Spring Boot\nDevelop, test, and document Java/Kotlin-based software components in accordance with requirements, actively contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle \nMaintain high standards of software quality by adhering to good practices and habits, including thorough code reviews and contributing to technical standards\nIdentify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance\nWrite comprehensive unit tests for robustness, edge cases, and general reliability, and participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code; \nLeverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build, deploy, and manage robust scalable software solutions \nCollaborate with BAs, QAs, and stakeholders to jointly develop effective solutions\nProvide support to ensure high-quality releases\nThrive in a scaled Agile working environment, collaborating with a global and diverse team\nWhat We’re Looking For\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field\nAt least 4+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on Java/Kotlin-based systems\nDeep expertise in Java 17+ and the Spring/Jakarta EE/Quarkus ecosystem, microservices architecture, docker containers, Kubernates \nGood understanding of design patterns, awareness/understanding of SOLID principles\nKnowledge of Data structures/Collections\nProven experience designing and building scalable backend solutions and RESTful APIs\nExperience with relational databases, including advanced SQL, and schema design\nGood understating microservices architecture \nGood knowledge of Terraform or other equivalent IaC tools\nHands-on relevant experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers\nExperience with DevOps, CI/CD, pipelines \nKnowledge and experience with Agile values, principles, and methods\nExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong team player mindset\nAbility to work effectively in a global, multi-cultural environment with teams located in different zones\nVoracious learner. You’re quick to share tips and tools you’ve picked up and you’re open to learning new things from your co-workers\nAt least one year of relevant experience with any Cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP). The experience should be hands-on. Not only just a mention.
