NTT Data Business Solutions is a part of NTT Data Business Solutions Germany.\n\nWe are looking for a Linux Administrator.\n\nLinux Server Operations & Support\n\nProvide L2 24×7 operational support (3-shift model) for SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server) environments across Development, Test, and Production systems\n\nMonitor Linux servers proactively to ensure high availability, performance, and system stability; respond to incidents within defined SLAs\n\nPerform advanced troubleshooting via console (CLI-based administration), including system logs, services, storage, and network components\n\nParticipate in bridge calls with clients and internal teams, clearly communicating technical status, impact, and resolution progress\n\nSupport lifecycle activities such as patching, updates, and OS upgrades in line with change management processes\n\nShape\n\nLinux Administration & System Management\n\nPerform end-to-end SLES administration including user management, file systems, storage configuration, process management, and service control\n\nManage package installations, patches, and repositories using native SUSE tools (e.g., zypper, YaST)\n\nConfigure and maintain system security (firewall, SSH, permissions, auditing, hardening guidelines)\n\nAdminister clustering solutions (e.g., Pacemaker) to ensure high availability and failover capabilities\n\nSupport virtualization environments and manage virtual machines on various hypervisors\n\nProvide basic Windows Server administration support when required (added advantage)\n\nShape\n\nInfrastructure & Platform Support\n\nSupport integration with hypervisors and virtual platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure VMs, etc.)\n\nAssist with Azure-based Linux workloads (VM provisioning, storage, networking, monitoring)\n\nPerform basic network troubleshooting (IP configuration, DNS, routing checks, connectivity validation)\n\nSupport backup and restore activities; coordinate with backup teams to validate job success and troubleshoot failures\n\nAnalyze infrastructure dependencies when incidents require cross-domain investigation\n\nShape\n\nMonitoring, ITSM & Incident Management\n\nWork on incidents, service requests, and changes using ServiceNow and SPC ticketing tools\n\nEnsure proper documentation of incident resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive measures\n\nFollow structured change and release management processes to ensure minimal service disruption\n\nMaintain system documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles\n\nShape\n\nCollaboration, Documentation & Continuous Improvement\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional infrastructure, application, database, and cloud teams\n\nContribute to automation
