If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.\nWe are currently seeking a Cloud Migration Lead Engineer to join our team in BR, Bihār (IN-BR), India (IN).\nSenior Cloud Migration Technical Lead\nExperience: 10+ years in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, including 5+ years in cloud migration delivery.\nRole Summary\nWe are looking for an experienced Cloud Migration Technical Lead to lead enterprise migration engagements, primarily to AWS, with Microsoft Azure experience considered a strong advantage.\nThe successful candidate must combine hands-on technical expertise with the ability to lead migration teams, own technical decisions, manage customer expectations, and deliver migrations from discovery through cutover and hypercare.\nThis is a delivery-focused technical leadership role, not a pure solution architecture, consulting, or project management position.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn the technical delivery of cloud migration projects, from discovery and assessment through planning, execution, cutover, and stabilization.\n\nDesign and validate migration strategies for VMware, physical and virtual servers, Windows/Linux workloads, and enterprise applications.\n\nLead application dependency assessments, migration wave planning, sequencing, rollback planning, and technical risk management.\n\nDefine workload migration approaches, including rehost, replatform, and selective modernization.\n\nLead technical discussions with customers and coordinate Cloud Foundation, Migration Execution, Networking, Security, and application teams.\n\nReview AWS Landing Zone readiness, connectivity, IAM, networking, security, and operational requirements.\n\nTroubleshoot complex migration failures and support critical production cutovers.\n\nAct as the customer-facing technical anchor across multiple delivery PODs.\n\nMaintain architecture decisions, migration runbooks, technical documentation, and stage-gate acceptance criteria.\n\nMentor engineers, validate technical estimates, and improve migration automation and repeatability.\n\nMandatory Technical Skills\nDemonstrated hands-on experience leading production migrations to AWS, preferably across multiple enterprise customers.\n\nStrong AWS infrastructure expertise: EC2, EBS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, AWS Backup, and related services.\n\nPractical experience with AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) and workload migration tooling.\n\nStrong knowledge of VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Linux, DNS, Active Directory, storage, and networking.\n\nExperience with migration discovery, dependency mapping, migration wave planning, testing, and rollback strategies.\n\nAbility to diagnose connectivity, performance, replication, operating system, and application-related migration issues.\n\nUnderstanding of AWS security, hybrid connectivity, IAM, routing, and network segmentation.\n\nExperience leading engineers and communicating technical risks to customers and stakeholders.\n\nNice-to-Have Skills\nMicrosoft Azure migration experience, including Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery.\n\nAWS Transform, RiverMeadow, CloudHedge, or comparable migration accelerators.\n\nAzure VMware Solution (AVS), VMware HCX, or NSX.\n\nTerraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or CI/CD automation.\n\nAWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, VPN, firewalls, and advanced hybrid networking.\n\nDatabase migrations using AWS DMS or native database migration technologies.\n\nExperience with regulated environments, security compliance, or complex enterprise transformations.\n\nAWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified Advanced Networking certification.\n\nExpected Outcomes\nIndependently lead customer migration engagements with minimal technical supervision.\n\nCoordinate delivery across shared PODs without losing customer context or technical accountability.\n\nReduce migration failures, technical escalations, and cutover risks.\n\nImprove migration repeatability, delivery quality, and engineering productivity.\n\nCritical selection criterion: Candidates must demonstrate real production migration experience, including examples of migration challenges, failures, cutovers, and lessons learned.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
