This role will define end-to-end data architecture while providing technical leadership to engineering teams implementing the solution.\nPosition's General Duties and Tasks\nIn this role you will be responsible for:\nDefine end-to-end data solution architecture, patterns, standards, and technical roadmaps across ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, security, and integration.\nArchitect solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure, including SparkSQL, PySpark, Delta Tables, Pipelines, Fabric Notebooks, Lakehouse, and data warehouse technologies.\nDesign scalable data models, Medallion/Lakehouse patterns, integration approaches, security controls, governance, and performance strategies.\nLead architecture reviews and translate business and non-functional requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation guidance.\nPartner with Data Engineers to guide development of Pipelines, Fabric Notebooks, PySpark/SparkSQL transformations, and Delta Tables.\nEvaluate technology choices for scalability, reliability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost while mentoring engineering teams and ensuring architectural standards are followed.\nRequirements for This Role Include\n7+ years of Data Engineering, Data Architecture, cloud data, or related experience, including solution architecture responsibilities.\n7+ years of Strong hands-on experience with SparkSQL, PySpark, Delta Tables, Pipelines, Fabric Notebooks, SQL, and modern Lakehouse/data warehouse architectures.\n7+ years of Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Microsoft Azure data platforms and enterprise data integration.\n7+ years of Experience defining architecture standards, data models, security, governance, performance, and deployment patterns.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nPreferences\nExperience with OneLake, Fabric Lakehouse, Fabric Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Azure DevOps.\nExperience with enterprise data governance, CI/CD, cloud cost optimization, and large-scale data platforms.\nMicrosoft Azure or Fabric architecture/data certifications.\nWork Environment\nThis is a fully remote position.
