Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion - it’s a place where you can grow, belong and thrive.\nData Centre Deployment & Service Delivery Lead\nLocation: Erskine Park, Sydney, NSW | Primarily onsite\nAre you an experienced data centre or infrastructure delivery professional who enjoys bringing together people, technology and operational delivery?\nWe’re looking for a Data Centre Deployment & Service Delivery Lead to take ownership of the safe, predictable and high-quality delivery of multiple technical workstreams within a data centre environment.\nThis is a hands-on site leadership role where you’ll coordinate engineers, technicians, suppliers and shifts, while keeping delivery on track and maintaining strong quality, safety and client standards. The focus is deployment execution and service delivery rather than facilities management.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nYou’ll lead onsite deployment activities across planning, mobilisation, execution, validation, handover and closure. Depending on the workstream, this can include rack-and-stack and hardware installation, structured cabling, network connectivity, fibre infrastructure, equipment removal and site restoration.\nYou’ll also:\nTranslate programme and technical requirements into practical shift plans, priorities, resource assignments and deliverables.\nCoordinate multiple teams, shifts and suppliers, managing dependencies, site access, materials, tooling and readiness.\nLead shift briefings, handovers and progress reviews.\nMonitor delivery against scope, schedule and quality requirements and address emerging risks or blockers.\nPut appropriate quality checkpoints in place across builds, cabling, labelling, testing, asset records, validation and handover.\nOversee inspections and acceptance checks and ensure defects or incomplete work are addressed.\nAct as a key onsite contact for clients, programme teams, design and operations teams, and suppliers.\nMaintain accurate progress reporting, completion records and delivery evidence.\nSupport safe working practices, change controls, site requirements and effective incident or corrective-action reviews.\nLook for opportunities to reduce rework, improve throughput and standardise delivery practices. \nEssential criteria\nWe’re interested in what you can demonstrate, rather than looking for one particular career path.\nYou’ll bring:\nDemonstrated experience leading engineers, technicians or technical delivery teams within a data centre, network deployment, critical infrastructure or comparable technical environment.\nExperience coordinating complex or multi-workstream delivery against defined scope, schedule and quality requirements.\nPractical understanding of data centre deployment plus experience in at least one relevant engineering area.\nWorking knowledge of areas such as rack infrastructure, structured cabling, network hardware, connectivity or fibre infrastructure.\nExperience coordinating shift-based delivery, including handovers, resources, dependencies, risks and escalations.\nExperience applying quality controls and taking defects or incomplete work through to resolution.\nStrong planning, prioritisation and problem-solving capability.\nAbility to communicate clearly with technical teams, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.\nA practical commitment to safe, controlled delivery and accurate documentation.\nFlexibility to work primarily onsite and support shift, weekend or out-of-hours delivery when the work requires it. \nDesirable criteria\nThese would be valuable, but you don’t need to tick every box to apply:\nA degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship or other formal learning in engineering, networking, telecommunications or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience is equally relevant.\nRelevant health and safety, data centre, networking, cabling, fibre or project-delivery certifications.\nFormal training in leadership, service management or project management.\nExperience improving operating procedures, implementation methods, checklists or reporting practices.\nExposure to automation or standardisation initiatives within deployment environments.\nExperience contributing to programme planning, mobilisation or estimation. \nWhat success looks like\nYou’ll help create an environment where work is completed safely, delivery commitments are understood and managed, quality is right first time wherever possible, handovers are well documented, blockers are addressed quickly and clients receive clear, evidence-based updates.
