The role will be responsible for resolving complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, improving platform reliability and performance, optimizing Snowflake costs, and driving continuous improvement and automation across the support landscape.\nThe candidate should have strong expertise in Snowflake and modern data engineering technologies, including Streamlit, Snowflake Cortex, dbt, Kafka/Snowpipe Streaming, GitHub, AWS or GCP services, and Observe/Streamline dashboarding solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nL3 Production Support & Technical Leadership\nTroubleshoot and resolve critical production issues within agreed SLA timelines.\nCoordinate with L1/L2 support, engineering, infrastructure, cloud, security, and business teams during incident resolution.\nLead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.\nIdentify recurring production issues and drive permanent fixes, automation, and platform improvements.\nEstablish and maintain operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and knowledge articles.\nSupport incident, problem, change, and release management processes.\nParticipate in or coordinate on-call and production support activities as required.\nSnowflake & Data Engineering\nProvide hands-on engineering and production support for solutions built on Snowflake.\nTroubleshoot complex SQL, data pipeline, data quality, ingestion, transformation, and performance issues.\nPerformance tuning and cost optimisation within Snowflake\nWork with dbt within the Snowflake ecosystem for data transformation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.\nSupport and enhance applications developed using Streamlit, particularly Streamlit applications integrated with Snowflake.\nUnderstand, troubleshoot, and enhance solutions leveraging Snowflake Cortex / Cortex AI capabilities.\nSupport real-time and near-real-time data ingestion using Kafka and Snowpipe Streaming.\nAnalyze pipeline failures, data latency, schema changes, data quality issues, and downstream impacts.\nCloud, DevOps & Automation\nStrong working knowledge of GitHub and Git-based development practices, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.\nExperience with relevant AWS services, particularly serverless and integration services such as AWS Lambda.\nWorking understanding of equivalent services within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nAutomate repetitive support and operational activities wherever possible.\nWork closely with engineering teams to improve deployment, monitoring, rollback, and recovery processes.\nMonitoring & Reporting\nDevelop and maintain dashboards and alerts for proactive monitoring of the data platform.\nBuild or enhance operational dashboards to provide visibility into pipeline health, failures, data latency, platform performance, SLA adherence, and Snowflake consumption/cost.\nLeadership & Operational Skills\nThe candidate should demonstrate:\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex production issues across multiple technology layers.\nAbility to prioritize and manage multiple production incidents and engineering activities.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nAbility to communicate technical issues, business impact, root causes, and remediation plans clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nA continuous-improvement mindset with emphasis on automation, reliability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.\nAbility to mentor engineers and improve the overall technical capability of the support team.\nExperience\n5+ years of overall experience in data engineering, data platforms, or related technologies.\n3+ years of strong hands-on experience with Snowflake-based data platforms.\nPrevious experience working in an L3 production support / application support environment.\nExperience supporting business-critical enterprise data platforms.\nExperience operating within ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and release management processes.\nExperience working with distributed teams and coordinating with application, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and business stakeholders.\nThe candidate is expected to be technically strong enough to investigate production issues at code, SQL, data pipeline, Snowflake, streaming, and cloud-service levels, while simultaneously providing leadership and direction to the wider support team.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
