This is not solely a development role. The consultant must be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand business problems, analyze and document processes and requirements, identify solution options, and translate those requirements into scalable enterprise solutions.\nThe ideal candidate will be equally comfortable facilitating a requirements workshop, configuring a Dynamics 365 solution, designing a Dataverse data model, defining integration requirements, reviewing a plugin or JavaScript implementation, troubleshooting production issues, and working with development teams through delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and participate in requirements discovery, stakeholder interviews, workshops, process analysis, and solution-design sessions with business and technical stakeholders.\nElicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage business, functional, non-functional, data, integration, security, and reporting requirements.\nTranslate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, data models, integration requirements, and solution designs.\nAnalyze existing business processes, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions using Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform capabilities, favouring configuration and native platform capabilities where appropriate.\nProvide senior-level functional expertise across Dynamics 365 CE, particularly Customer Service and Field Service, including case management, queues, routing, SLAs, entitlements, knowledge management, work orders, scheduling, resource management, and related processes.\nDesign, configure, develop, and enhance Model-Driven Apps and Canvas Apps using Microsoft and enterprise best practices.\nDesign and configure Dataverse tables, relationships, forms, views, business rules, business process flows, security roles, teams, and access models.\nDesign and implement automation using Power Automate, platform-native automation capabilities, Custom APIs, and other appropriate technologies.\nDevelop and review advanced extensions including C# plugins, JavaScript/TypeScript client-side customizations, Custom APIs, custom connectors, PCF components, and other Dataverse extensions where required.\nAssess requirements and determine the appropriate implementation approach across configuration, low-code/no-code, custom development, integration, and third-party solutions.\nDefine and support integrations between Dynamics 365/Dataverse and enterprise systems using APIs, Azure services, Power Platform connectors, and other integration patterns.\nDevelop and maintain Power Pages solutions for external-facing business processes where required.\nDesign and support Power BI reporting and analytics utilizing Dynamics 365 and Dataverse data.\nParticipate in solution architecture and design reviews, ensuring solutions meet requirements for scalability, maintainability, performance, security, supportability, and Microsoft platform best practices.\nSupport application lifecycle management (ALM), environment strategy, solution management, source control, automated deployments, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps/Git.\nLead or support system integration testing, UAT planning, defect triage, production deployment, hypercare, and operational transition.\nPerform root-cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting of complex Dynamics 365 and Power Platform issues across configuration, custom code, integrations, automation, security, and data.\nCollaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, testers, support teams, and offshore delivery resources.\nProvide technical and functional guidance to development teams, including design direction, code reviews, troubleshooting support, and implementation oversight.\nProduce and maintain appropriate solution documentation, including requirements documentation, functional designs, technical designs, architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, deployment documentation, and support knowledge.\nBeing available to work Eastern Time Zone hours is a must for this role\nRequired Skills and Experience\nThe candidate should have significant professional experience delivering enterprise solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform, with demonstrated ability to operate across both functional and technical disciplines. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience across all stated skills below.\nDynamics 365 CE / Functional\nStrong functional knowledge of the Dynamics 365 CE platform and its underlying business-process capabilities.\nStrong experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service, including case management, queues, routing, SLAs, entitlements, knowledge management, activities, and agent experiences.\nExperience with Dynamics 365 Field Service, including work orders, incident types, scheduling, resources, bookings, and related processes.\nAbility to translate complex business processes into appropriate Dynamics 365 configurations and solution designs.\nStrong understanding of security concepts including business units, security roles, teams, ownership, hierarchy security, field security, and record-level access.\nUnderstanding of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform licensing implications is considered an asset.\nBusiness Analysis / Consulting\nDemonstrated experience performing business analysis within enterprise application implementations or sustainment environments.\nStrong requirements elicitation and stakeholder-management skills.\nExperience facilitating discovery sessions, requirements workshops, process-mapping sessions, and solution-design workshops.\nAbility to distinguish between stated requirements and underlying business needs and to constructively challenge requirements where appropriate.\nAbility to create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, functional specifications, data requirements, and solution documentation.\nExperience performing fit-gap analysis and evaluating standard platform functionality against business requirements.\nStrong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business requirements to technical delivery teams.\nPower Platform\nAdvanced experience with:Model-Driven Apps\nCanvas Apps\nPower Automate\nDataverse\nBusiness Process
